Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers, some of whom are currently working for Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin's bid for the White House, have been involved in spreading ant-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election. "Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012," says one former Romney aide, now working for McCain-Palin. "The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney. He's in charge on November 5th."

Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a "diva" and was going off message intentionally. The former and current Romney supporters further are pushing Romney supporters for key Republican jobs, including head of the Republican National Committee. The headline is a bit misleading, blaming leaks on Romney. It seems it the leaks are coming from his aides. It is hard to know if the aides are "rogue" or following the lead of Romney. At any rate, this article does not paint a very good picture of Romney.

I used to work with and date a beautiful woman, who's line was to use here very smart brain, curvasious body and her big brown eyes to get ahead (pun intended). Shortly after we broke up, driving down the freeway, at about 7 pm, here she was riding "shot gun" in my Vice President's car, off to an evening of 'no good" or maybe it was "very good evening". She later became President of a bank in Denver. Bless her heart. The guy between me and the VP was an airline pilot. We were standing in line at a bank party, when he leaned over to her and in more than a "stage whisper' said: "Stick with baby and you will be far**ing through silk."
Heaven knows how Sarah plays these same cards. Love it.
How about them dimples, so to speak! I love her feisty attitude and t-shirt.
A loving mother of five very well fed kids. Love it.
I want one of these for my car's bumper!
I missed her in Sturgis, SD, earlier this summer. Dang! I wonder if the "First (what't the other side of Dude) acutally drives that "Road Machine", as the "First Dude" rides a "Snow Machine" versus a "Snowmobile". Go figure. She could ride my Harley any time she wanted, if you get my drift.
Now here's a "slick guy as a kid"!
Now here's a "slick guy as a big kid"!
Now this has to be the totally worst picture of the prospective world leader that I have ever seek. Funny to friends, scary to the smart ones.
John S McCain is one lucky and hopefully our "First Dude" and our next POTUS.
That's little old me, howling at the moon.

Big mistake Mitt Romney. You're on my Shiite list now and I never forget those who have ticked me off. Better find another job. You'll never be president now.

"The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney. He's in charge on November 5th." Someone working for McCain SUPPOSEDLY said this? Something stinks to high heaven with this article. I have trouble believing it - Romney has been loyal to the party - I have my doubts about the veracity of this.

He's in charge on November 5th. Who does he think he is, Alexander Haig?
Talk about jumping the guy, sheesh... if anything it would be January 20'th, but I hope not.

He's just doing what the Clintons do, he has his underlings destroy his opponent and then he appears sympathetic. I'm sure he thinks that he only has to be nice for another week.He didn't seem sympathetic. He seemed rather supportive of the ticket.

Having Romney operatives working for McCain is even more specious than having Bill and Hillary’s team working for Obama.
This guy is a pox on the national Republican Party. The bedrock principles that are Palin’s foundation are nothing to him other than sometimes-convenient talking points he can use in advancing his own ambition.

The Palin bashing was from the Romney camp I had no doubt.
Willard M. Romney is in for rude awakening if he think’s he’s “the man” but I think the GOP tradition is to give to the second string like Bob Dole in 1996.
This means another fight but it should be a clear one this time. Sarah Palin vs. Romney and may Romney bite the dust.

I saw Romney on TV somewhere the other day. He was very favorable of Palin. Never said anything that could even, in the slightest, suggest he was uncomfortable with her.
I hope the readers who seem to believe this story will check back and read, or find out that the "rumor" is not true. At least not as I have heard Romeny say.
I think the rumors are being spread and written up by anonymous Obama staffers. They have Colin Powell, now they are trying to split the GOP even more.
I guess they want to create an internal problem with the Republican voters as the Dems have existing over Hillary how she was dumped and her angry supporters who have made it very clear that they will not vote for Obama.
So, they are trying to spread the disease to Republicans in hope they can cause us to doubt McCain's choice of our Sarah and not vote for him, or vote at all. Thus they seem to be trying to offset the lost Democrat votes (previously thought Obama would get) that will go to McCain and Palin. IMHO

I don't like anonymous source articles and I'm not going to completely condemn someone on the basis of an anonymous source. But if it turns out to be true that Romney refused to campaign without national cameras or refused to help another candidate in MA running against Kerry -- well, I'll be done with him.
The stakes are too high in this election for this kind of ego tripping.
