Obama's birth certificate sealed by Hawaii governor

HONOLULU, Hawaii – Although the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama's birth certificate has become a focus of intense speculation – and even several lawsuits – WND has learned that Hawaii's Gov. Linda Lingle has placed the candidate's birth certificate under seal, and instructed the state's Department of Health to make sure no one in the press obtains access to the original document under any circumstances.

Those listed as entitled to obtain a copy of an original birth certificate include the person born, or "registrant" according to the legal description from the governor's office, the spouse or parent of the registrant, a descendant of the registrant, a person having a common ancestor with the registrant, a legal guardian of the registrant, or a person or agency acting on behalf of the registrant.

Ancestors of Barack Obama - he has millions of relatives on his mama's side. Who knows for sure if they are related on the other side?

She’s a good friend of Gov. Palin, as well. She spoke glowingly of Gov Palin at the RNC convention .. they seem to be really good friends. BUT she has responsibilities to the position she was elected to, so I am not going to question what she does about the birth certificate.

Was pondering what could be embarrassing but not make him illegal... I wonder if it's a Jack Nicholson type of thing concerning maternity? Or paternity isn't who it was thought to be.

Today, a SS# is given at birth. Anyone know when that actually started? Maybe there's a way to find out when he received a SS#.

I think some time in the 80's. My youngest was born in 1976 and it was not issued at birth then. Think it has to do with IRS requiring the ss # of dependents on your 1040 now.

I’m amazed at how many people still don’t get it- we don’t WANT him to release the BC now!!! It’s obvious it exists, he was born in HI, and therefor it isn’t helpful to the McCain camp. Its BETTER if he DOESN’T release it now because that will leave lingering doubt in some minds. I hope no relative goes in and requests it, that will ruin everything.

Courts seal documents, the executive enforces the court's decision. If this action occurred, it was while the governor was out of state and Obama was visiting his grandmother.....and all of this happened this weekend?

The obvious thing is that it was undoubtedly Obama's attorney who demanded that the Governor of HI put the document(s) under seal; referencing laws and making threats if she failed to secure it...

Although the Obama campaign could immediately put an end to all the challenges by simply producing the candidate's original birth certificate, it has not done so. And the "Fight the Smears" website offers no explanation as to why Obama has refused to request, and make public, an original hospital-generated birth certificate which the Hawaii Department of Health may possess.

  This is turning into the biggest mystery since the time a cab driver and his cop brother buried Judge Crater under the boardwalk in Coney Island.
