IBD/TIPP Tracking Poll: Day Eleven Posted: Thursday, October 23, 2008
McCain has cut into Obama's lead for a second day and is now just 1.1 points behind. The spread was 3.7 Wednesday and 6.0 Tuesday. The Republican is making headway with middle- and working- class voters, and has surged 10 points in two days among those earning between $30,000 and $75,000. He has also gone from an 11-point deficit to a 9-point lead among Catholics.

Lets be cautiously optimistic guys. A serious trend in the polls is that McCain’s numbers never seem to pass 44-46%. I think a majority of “undecided” are leaning Obama whereas before I would say they were leaning McCain.
RINO’s like Powell and in no poor part McCain’s poor demeanor during the debates did not impress drivebys. Also Sarah has been painted badly.
I was sure undecideds would break for McCain 70-30 when he had the edge in experience and judgement but now obama is polling ahead in judgement and experience has narrowed.
Naah, 0 is going to cheese off a lot of baseball fans with that prime time nonsense.
More than the media will let on are for McCain.
Half of my son’s Business Law class said they were voting McCain. And we live in NY.
That info will not help Obama. It will give the big pollsters another reason to over sample dems more to help Obama gain even more polling.
It’s like bad dog food that no amount of advertising can help. That dog food just won’t sale.

check out that stunning link from gallup today....
exactly. my post was mostly sarcastic, however, we are seeing just who the racists really are.
So 11.6% of those polled are as dumb as a post. Or as apathetic to politics/society/the future of America as a post would be.
How anyone can seriously be “not sure” at this stage is just mind-boggling to me.
But otherwise, if this poll is accurate — good news indeed!
Maybe they are worried about Obama’s plan for a new draft. They would all be likely candidates.
Whheeww..I’ve been watching the “undecideds” like a hawk, when Zogby went on and on about this demographic or that demographic breaking for Obamao, I though the undecided votes had decided.
The group is undersampled. Insignificant numbers. That however does not mean the poll is innacurate. That would mean necessarily that another age group was “overpolled”. For example: If an older age group contained an extraordinary number of say AAs or democrats there is no reason to assume more young voters, as a percentage of the poll would vote any differently than those polled. Only the pollsters know for sure.
If you look at the primaries, Obama pretty much drew the number he was polling. In other words, nearly all "undecideds" went to someone else.
That's an admitted given. Once Obama expires the 2003 tax cuts the entire federal income tax rates go back up to the higher rates of the year 2000. Low income, middle income, and high income will all be paying a higher federal income tax rate and everyone's take home pay will automatically decrease.
I am expecting a $4K cash decrease in take home pay per year once the 2003 tax cuts expire.
Where "Not Sure" == "I'm going for McCain, and I've got better things to do than listen to some raving O-bot nutob getting up in my grille screeching that I'm a 'racist' or some such inanity."
...”even Andy Griffith endorsed him!...unbelievable!!”
Did not know that?!
If it were the other way and he had endorsed McCain the MSM would have mentioned there were never any black people on The Andy Griffith Show. Other than a few background crowd characters occasionally.
Doesn’t matter what the polls say.
God is on our side. Keep praying.
If they are truly polling this close then McCain wins. It’s that simple.
Amen!
McCain is going to win Colorado... John Elway is set to appear at a McCain rally tomorrow.
