Not many professors or students even remember her.

This is news? The writer ignores some basic facts of the collegiate environment. First, professors meet scores of students every semester and I bet they would be hard pressed to name five of them once the semester ends. In larger universities, some profs may teach one ot two mega classes that have a hundred or more students in each class section. If even if you are teaching two or three smaller classes of 20 or 30 students per semester, how many students will you remember? Also, how people do any of us remember from our college years (i.e. how mnay names of students and profs can we recall)? A dozen? Half dozen? Less?

That was an amazing story on Sarah Palin’s college years. I am waiting breathlessly for tomorrow’s story on Joe the Plumber’s college forays...or are you going to dabble in some journalism and write a story about Obama’s college years which nobody seems to know anything about? No one knew BO at Columbia, but the bilious LAT hasn’t bothered to check on this in the 2 years he has been running. And I would still like to know how this mediocre student could get into Harvard Law School and who paid his tuition.
That should keep the msm busy for the next two weeks since they are pretty well finished giving Palin an anal exam for the past two months.

I taught at a university and I can not remember more than two students — one had a daddy who was the dean of another college at the University who a reputation of asking her father to ‘fix’ things like parking tickets or bad grades and the other was heading into the Navy & asked for a letter of recommendation — so I guess all the others will never run for President by the standards of the La Times.

It was a quarter-century ago, f'Petessake. Most of her old professors are retired. I don't want to think what she'd have had to do as an undergraduate to be "remembered." Burn down the Administration building?

I can guarantee you nobody remembers me at my undergraduate alma mater. Except the funding committees. And the 10,000 people who saw me streak nekkid through the basketball arena...and even then all they'd remember is the Nixon mask...
