WASHINGTON — An ugly line has been crossed in this presidential campaign, one in which some people don't mind calling Barack Obama a dangerous Muslim, a terrorist and worse.
"To me, this all feels much worse than we've seen in some time," said Kathryn Kolbert , the president of People for the American Way , which monitors political speech.
Experts agree on the reasons: Obama, the Democratic nominee, is different from any other major presidential candidate in history in many ways, and people often don't accept such change gracefully.
That different background fuels many fears, said Penni Pier , who's an expert on political rhetoric. People are still scared that terrorists are ready to strike and wonder about Obama's background, she said, while the Internet and other outlets are endless sources of misinformation.
Some think that Republican strategists are, as Kolbert put it, "orchestrating" the vitriol.

Obama is a radical. Let’s talk about Obama supporter hate for Palin? There are plenty of examples of it.
For me Chet, I really do not care what they say anymore, Obam can hug a African Muslim Terrorist and they say nothing, Obama can partner up with the most violent of US Terrorists and they say nothing.

After the election, look for Congress to pass new and stronger “hate speech” laws, which will be used to permanently silence political dissent.

Still no news from McClatchy about the hate-filled attacks by the Obamacorns on Trig and Bristol Palin or the rest of the Palin family for that matter. I guess McClatchy is holding on to them until AFTER the election.
Hate? You betcha. Hate for Socialists, Marxists, Black Radical Racist Preachers and White Radical Terrorists...all of which are friends of Obama.

The media cries wolf so often on imagined racism that real racism will be ignored.
Exactly!! The big news here is that Norman Lear’s coven is now posing as non-partisan.

Southern Poverty Law Center is a thoroughly radical leftist outfit, and therefore thoroughly in the tank for Obama, and therefore unfit to comment on McCain's supporters. Naturally the writer doesn't spill the beans on this little detail.

I’m sorry, but I haven’t really seen any “hate-filled” attacks on Obama besides a handful of stupid comments from isolated individuals. And those, I’d call stupid, not “hate-filled.”
ON THE OTHER HAND, there are vast quantities of hateful vitriol launched at Sarah Palin day in and day out (ditto for President Bush for 8 years). In a normal world, that would make the news...but it doesn’t, because much of it is launched BY the news media themselves.
Obama is being treated like the Crown Prince, where legitimate criticisms are shouted down as racism and “hate.” Hannity is absolutely right when he says the media officially died this year.
My anger is rooted in my hate for progagandists that speak with the voice of a 3rd party observer with the specific purpose of feigning objectivity.
He’s a communist. That’s enough.
This is Psychological warfare to put GOP on defensive.
Problem is GOP reacts defensively instead of getting smart, and responding back with offensive talking points.
Hate speech goes both ways....so why haven’t the GOP turned the tables back on these people by accusing them of sexism< demeaning women (in this case Sarah Palin) and Hillary Clinton, demeaning handicapped babies, and dragging children of candidates through the mud for political advantages. We need a “shout back in their face” attitude instead of always trying to placate these people.
Is lying addictive? How can mainstream “journalists” keep pumping out the BS. Isn’t it tiring, soul destroying? How could this menace named Obama be taken seriously as candidate for president. Even the sleazy Clintons must be quietly appalled, yet journalist after journalist keeps putting out for this creep.
