Reports of rampant voter fraud -- centered primarily with the liberal group Association of Community Organizations for Reform (ACORN) -- has put the integrity of the upcoming election in question.
One month ago, John McCain set up a special committee for “Honest and Opened Elections” and invited the Barack Obama campaign to join with him in a bi-partisan effort to stop voter fraud. (Read the request letter here.) To date, the Obama campaign has ignored the McCain campaign request. Grassfire.org wants to deliver tens of thousands of petitions to the Obama campaign calling on Obama to join with McCain to stop voter fraud.

In addition, Grassfire’s petition to Stop Voter Fraud calls on Congress to immediately de-fund ACORN – which receives 40% of its budget from U.S. taxpayers, tens of millions in the past three years alone. Please sign the petition to Senator Obama and calling for ACORN to be defunded.

As a concerned citizen, I am very disturbed by the reports of voter fraud in the days leading up to this November’s election. In a letter dated September 15, 2008, the John McCain campaign requested that you join an unprecedented dual-campaign effort to stop voter fraud. I am calling on you to work with Senator McCain in what would be a historic effort. At this critical time in our nation’s history, we cannot afford to have the results of the election tainted or brought into question due to voter fraud.
In addition: I am calling on Congress to defund ACORN immediately. ACORN should not receive any federal funds.

Thousands of volunteers at the polls and demands for prosecution and jail time for the slimes that are doing this. Every single state should investigate all ACORN voter applications right up to the election and if any discrepancies occur these applicants should be notified by phone and denied to vote unless they can show the necessary photo identification etc. to prove their identity to the Registrar of Voters in every state.
If this procedure proves to be too time consuming and the election takes place and there is questionable results from any state, then that state should have a full recount and any suspicious votes put aside until they can be thoroughly investigated. Until then, the state should not be called for either candidate until those results are verified and certified to be correct by a bipartisan commission in that state.

My reason for this post however is:
Voter registration fraud.
I sent my voter registration card in, September 22, 2008 for a change of address, because I moved.
I have not received my card yet! (you can click the link below to read more on my blog)
I did not think that this would go on in my little town in Beaufort, SC
And I hope, I am wrong.
I am very, very worried!
Although I have always been more conservative, I try to look at what or who is best for our country.
I can see, that if we don’t get out there and vote, our country, as we knew it, will never be the same again, for the worse, if Obama is elected.

p.s. I am going to sign the petition. I would like to know if there are more? I want congress (Pelosi, franks, dodd, obama and whoever else was involved, dems or gop) prosecuted, impeached, exploited and the money stolen from me, given back!
Standing up and fight is a good idea. But calling on Obama to take the lead against ACORN? Not the best way to go. We need to have a petition directed toward someone willing to listen.
