I didn't know that Jimmie Carter was attacked by the "killer rabbit" in Lancaster. Have they put up some kind of plaque or memorial over at the Harpster fishing hole?
While being on a summer business trip, I was fortunate to spend some time in Lancaster and I was struck by it's natural beauty....
It wasn't Lancaster. The Huntington County Rod 'n Gun Club is on the border between Centre and Huntingdon County, PA, around 150 miles Northwest of Lancaster. Lancaster, by the way, is flatlands. Not even in the
really beautiful parts of Pennsylvania, unless you like Iowa.
Carter's people have tried to spin this story differently over the years. Jody Powell now claims it was a story Carter told him happened in Plains. That version is incorrect.
