Joe the Plumber target of Arizona (his Drivers License is suspended)

Joe the Plumber's' AZ driver license suspended Comments 6 | Recommend 4 Daniel Newhauser, For the Tribune

A plumbing license is not the only license "Joe the Plumber" is having troubles with.

The former Mesa resident has a suspended driver's license and outstanding court fines in Arizona, according to Mesa Municipal Court records.

"Joe," whose real name is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, was referred to more than 20 times by Republican Sen. John McCain in Wednesday night's presidential debate for questioning Democratic Sen. Barack Obama's tax policy.

The man portrayed by McCain to be the typical, hardworking American revealed this week that he actually does not have a plumbing license, and now court records show he should not have a driver's license either, making it potentially even harder for him to get to work.

Wurzelbacher, who lived in Mesa in 2000 and had an Arizona driver's license, had his driver's license suspended by the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division on May 4, 2000, following a nonpayment of a court-imposed fine for civil traffic violations, according to court records.

America's new political icon, who owes nearly $1,200 in back taxes, according to public records, still owes more than $700 to the Mesa court system.

Records show he was cited for failure to stop at a red light and for failure to provide proof of insurance on Feb. 9, 2000, in a black Dodge truck at the intersection of Dobson and Baseline roads in Mesa.

After failing to pay his original fine of $627.50 issued in March 2000, his license was suspended and the fine was handed over to a collection agency along with a 16 percent surcharge. The now-resident of Holland, Ohio, still owes $727.90 to the Mesa Municipal Court, according to court records.

Nevertheless, Wurzelbacher's driver's license is still valid in Ohio, according to the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, and was renewed as recently as May 2005. Ohio law requires a license to be renewed every four years, meaning Wurzelbacher likely obtained an Ohio license in 2001, one year after having his Arizona license suspended.

With a suspended license in one state, it should not be possible to get a new license in another, said Cydney DeModica, spokeswoman for the Arizona MVD.

The only way "Joe the Plumber" could have slipped through the cracks is a clerical error in which his driving records were not entered into the Problem Driver Pointer System, the national database of information about people with a checkered driving past, said Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles spokeswoman Lindsay Komlanc.

Komlanc added if the Ohio BMV were to receive the information, appropriate action could be taken, including suspension of his Ohio license.

“I believe the Liberal Messiah would not let secession occur without a fight. The X factor in this scenario is the military. Would the U.S. Armed Forces (1) obey their Commander-In-Chief, (2) refuse to fire upon fellow Americans, or (3) splinter (for an example of this, read about the English Civil War). “

Good questions. The Left won't and can't fight. Too wimpy. They'll try to use brave American soldiers to kill rebellious Americans.

During Watergate, there was concern that Nixon would order the Army to surround Congress and shut it down. The questions was whether the generals would obey the commander in chief or protect the country and constitution from a rouge president (per their oath). Nothing ever happened but the issue may again arise in some fashion. scary stuff. I'm not advocating revolution (I'll leave that to Ayers). Just thinking out loud.

I looked it up on the mesa city court site.
Doesn’t detail the late charges.
Doesn’t say his license is revoked.

Reporter must have had to call.

Great questions, for which the msm has no answers because they are too busy fawning over barry and doing his dirty work.

Henry Ford’s family actually pulled out of the Ford Foundation when it began supporting the radical left.

Indeed. We are in the fight for our lives here, and it scares me to the core. Like you, I do all I can, and pray all the harder.
After reading a piece on Sarah earlier about her wearing a bit, I think I will drop her a note, small smile. I know she has no time to read it, but hopefully someone will, and tell her how much we appreciate how hard they are all working.

Stay strong.

“They’ll try to use brave American soldiers to kill rebellious Americans.”

And so,

1) active duty Army are now stationed on US soil, as of 9/30, for ‘emergency’ purposes.
2) 0bomba wants to ship US forces to the Tora Bora/Pakistan border, perhaps to go into Pakistan. Nothing like being real cannon fodder to ISI informants and alQ.

Think about it.

This is why right wing parties in South and Central American have had to resort to some rather nasty tactics against the Left in the past. They are trying to save themselves. They usually get caught after their brief time in power and are then executed along with friends and family. Scary stuff.

I wasn’t aware of this. Why did Bush allow active duty on US soil?

You will think I’m crazy but it is something I picked up on and it bothers me.

Listening to Obama speak, it is almost too generic, no inflection or any hint of an accent that would place him anywhere in the country. But what really bothered me especially in the 2nd debate was the way he pronounced Pakistan and another middle eastern country. He said it perfectly in their pronunciation not the American way. I thought it was very weird.

“Henry Ford’s family actually pulled out of the Ford Foundation when it began supporting the radical left.”

Too bad they couldn’t take the money with them. Better spent on wine, women and song than a perpetual slush fund for the Left. Capitalist money used to destroy capitalism. American planes used to destroy American buildings. Sh*t.

I know you mean well, but that graphic would be hurtful to me if she was my loved one. Could the point be made in a more respectful way to her family?

Pahkeestahn. Mcain started and then caught himself. I've heard talking heads start pronouncing it the same way.

Obama is a very serious threat to the United States of America.

““I believe the Liberal Messiah would not let secession occur without a fight. The X factor in this scenario is the military.”

Yup.

Commufascists come after the ones who know the most 1st, and the ones who are the most feared next.

It was freaking Kucinich who asked the questions, immortalized on C-SPAN, about the March, 2008, meeting behind closed doors, which outlined the September meltdown, followed by a Feb 2009 Fed meltdown, military moves on the populous, etc., etc.

Nothing like announcing your intentions.

BTW, there was a post on here in the last couple of days about having at media.....Best to do it locally, get names, and phone AT OR JUST PRIOR TO NEWS TIME.

Eagles up.

Better yet, turn off the TV. Read. Buy used. Don’t give them anything. Answer no polls. And don’t forget the ammo.

“Reporter must have had to call.”

Or someone with an axe to grind who works at the AZ DMV called the reporter. (like the D tex-mex restaurant mgr in TX who just had to call the media about the Bush twins, as college students, having a beer there).

IMO his next step is some kind of international initiative that goes beyond the President of the US job description. Having "international experience" has been very important to him.
