Melodrama Haiku





My Pretty One is
upset. Something happened while
I was exploring

A lovely flower
peeked above its fluted vase.
I was mesmerized

High up on a small
table. Its presence enticed
me to look closer

As I approached, the
lovely flower's scent tickled
and teased my taste buds

How to get to the
flower? The small table sits
near the Big Long Chair

Climbing onto The
Big Long Chair was easier
this time than before

I can leap higher
every day. I hardly
had to use my claws

One more leap onto
the wide armrest. An easy
walk to the table

Victory is mine!
I breathed in deeply and the
lovely flower moved

I glided closer.
Then gravity began to
rear its ugly head

A terrible noise!
Now is the time to begin
looking innocent
