I do think Obama will be a horrible president and then more people will see him for what he really is, but The GOP will have to work on it’s brand as well.
He reaped the whirlwind when he opposed Obama. Now all Americans know what's in store for them should they speak up against the anointed one.
But the most disgusting part of this story is that he wasn't responsible for Obama's gaffe. All "Joe" did was ask the question. Obama put his own foot in his mouth. And the media won't go anywhere near that because it's so damning.
They'll grow a beard, get fat, go around ranting and raving and finally, collapse in a pathetic heap before stocking up on Xanax.

The ‘Fairness Doctrine’ might actually become a two edged sword.
While Rush, Hannity and Beck may see their radio play hours shortened - the Alphabet Soup Channels will have to allow conservative commentators ‘equal time’. There still will be the internet of course. Rush, for one, has a pretty large following. I know I stream his show on my computer at work almost every day.
There still are First Amendment issues involved. I think the fastest way for 0bambi and the Dhimmicrates to turn off Joe Six-Pack is to start tromping of the First.

Buy home safes, buy self-protection gear, pull your money out of banks, investments, etc. Stop working (shrug you atlases) cause you can live off your savings and cashed in investments, probably a good while. Work off the books or barter skills with others for a little extra funds. Find deals on craigslist where you don’t have to pay taxes.
Watch Obama’s ‘spread the wealth’ idea blow up because the wealth producers have decided to sit out on the fleecing of the productive. AS economy tanks under Obama, you are now a victim of job loss under him. You’d may have been let go anyway if you made a lot of money and are in a management type of position.
After the country goes to sh1t during the next four years, people reject Obama for ruining their lives with false promises. Obama blames the rich for not going along with surrendering large portions of their earnings to him to redistribute to others. The ‘wealthy’ say we WERE wealthy until you f@cked things up.
Sometimes people may have to learn things the hard way.
Buy or lease a ship, and broadcast from 12.1 nautical miles off the coast. Broadcast from somewhere, anywhere, over one of the satellite radio stations. Broadcast over YouTube, via email links, etc. Bottom line: technology is such that stopping a determined person or group from getting a message out is impossible UNLESS you kill that person. That's a large part of why the Soviet Empire no longer exists.
Oh, and if Rush and the rest buy a ship, they should also contract with a dependable foreign government to protect the thing with subs and anti-aircraft missiles - I put NOTHING past Senator Government.
You assume that there will be another free election. That may not necessarily be the case after Vladimir Obama is granted emergency powers after the new Reichstag Fire. Oh, don't worry, the powers will only be "temporary" - like Hitler's powers were temporary (they only lasted for about 12 years, you know).

Well, I agree with you that the US won't end (though I certainly think it will be damaged). But I don't think Bush will end up looking good. The disastrous years of 2006-2012 will be blamed on Bush's policies, not the Democrat control of our government.
I believe a case can be made that Hoover's policies were not great, but neither were they disastrous. The Great Depression really got going only after FDR took over (1933 and 1934 were the worst years I believe). But Hoover gets all the blame for the trouble. FDR presided over the mess for over a decade, and he (traditionally) gets the credfit for "fixing it" -- which really happened under Eisenhower.
Hubby thinks a Bambi win combined with Dem’s picking up seats will wake up the RINO’s. Hubby is predicting a revolt far greater than what we saw in 1993/1994 under Newt. Folks are going to get a taste of socialism and spit it right back out.
I understand your concerns and an Obama presidency scares me as well. However, an armed American citizenry is what insures our freedom from tyranny.

Rope will be outlawed under the new adminstration - but not all at once, of course. That'd be a violation of the 2nd Amendment RKBR (Right to Keep & Bear Rope). First, That One will sign an Executive Order to ban imports of rope, of rope repair kits, of rope plants, rope fibers, rope-making machinery, etc. Then you'll have to register all of your rope, and be limited to buying rope in select FRL (Federal Rope Licensee) shops, and to pay a stiff 10,000% rope tax. Later, when militant, racist rope owners refuse to register, BATRE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Rope & Explosives) agents will raid homes of rope owners, stomping cats to death, kicking pregnant women in the gut, shooting anyone who resists in any way and burning the house down. If rope owners resist, the military will be called in; if the military refuses to follow orders, That One will request the UN to send in a few dozen divisions of Russian, Chinese, Iranian, Venezulan and Cuban peace-keeping troops.
