Barack Obama loses the BBWAA vote (Delaying World Series Annoys Baseball Writers)
Los Angeles Times ^ | October 16, 2008 | Randy Harvey

We didn't really do the polling of Baseball Writers Assn. of America members, but, as one of them, I can guarantee you they are not happy that the start of Game 6 of the World Series (if necessary) will be delayed for a Barack Obama commercial.

Deadlines are tight enough as they are, especially for my colleagues on the East Coast and in the Midwest.

A little full of himself, maybe? He thinks we’ll all be willing to wait for the game to start so we can hear his words of wisdom?

How the hell does he rank moving the World Series back? Does McCain get the same treatment?

But “the One” controls all, rules all, so shut up sports fans.

WOW! Talking points out there in the comments already! Unrelated at all to anything!! Must be a web-crawler/bot program!

I do think it is interesting that Joe "the Plumber" Wurzelbacher just so happens to be the son of Robert Wurzelbacher, the son-in-law of--guess who?--none other than Robert Keating of the KEATING FIVE... unbiased, neutral, "average Joe" indeed... Maybe he’ll talk about campaign finance reform.

Well our good old baseball writers have to understand that in the Hope and Change America contemplated by the Obama campaign, baseball is a proscribed activity, which must always rank second to the interests of the proletarian state.

Bill Ayers or a facimile will be the new baseball commissioner.

After all baseball is a bourgoise pass time for 'rich people", and professional baseball will become taxed so heavily that they will ask for federal money so thay can be nationalized, just like our banks are doing.

Baseball exists only by the whim of the state. Get with it baseball fans, vote for Obama so we can get Hope and Change rolling!( sarc.) Who's on third!

No, Who's on first!

Obama of course!

My question isn’t who does obambi think he is, but why the heck is the MLB delaying it for him?

How much does a half hour on three networks cost these days anyway? Is that how Obama spreads Joe’s hard-earned dollars around? .. or is it Soros and those Iranian contributions?

Remember the Philly fans who booed Palin? I wonder how happy they will be that HE is delaying the Phillies game?

I hope 50 Million Baseball fans tune in and instead of seeing a WS game, they see The Fraud and get PO’d and take their anger out on him at the polls.

Arrogant bastard. I’ll be so happy if McCain pulls this out.

Are they nuts — It was Charles Keating and the Keating 5 were 4 Senators and 1 Congressman.

I would doubt its major league baseball...should be looking at FOX for this.

I want to see “TV ratings” the day after McCain gets elected and see MSNBC with it 300K viewers and FOX and its various networks with zero...what a disgrace.

Honestly I wonder if a Freeper TV could get started after this election is over...its time to be done with ALL MSM.

>Obama will use it as a precoronation speech—It will be an early state of the Union Speech

Create the impression he is already president

I hope it backfires on his arrogant ass and nobody but his brainwashed sheep watch
