Welcome to the Canteen, Melian...very clever of you. My friend got a Corvair, but didn’t drive. I taught her to drive after I taught myself stick shift.

The worst piece of work I ever owned was a 1987 Nissan Sentra. That rat trap died after I had it for 2 weeks.

Sad fact was I had just placed a rebuilt engine in it.

ARRRRRRRGGGGGG!

“Interesting” vehicle there, Ex. I’m thinking it doesn’t appeal to me.

Wet feet while driving....for sure a safety issue. I would be worried WHEN the floor boards would fall away.

1982 Thunderbird. When I tried to use the electric seat positioning the digital clock would reset to 12:00. After about 6 months despite all kinds of sealcoating and rust proofing the body began to sprout rust spots like Midwest acne. After two years it was a town joke. We called it "the auto of Dorian Gray." When I went to Ford about it they smirked and said "Yeah, we got some bad alloy that year" and did absloutely nothing about it.

Watching Ford hit $2 a share brings a warm fuzzy feeling to my heart (and wallet).

I drove through an entire pregnancy in a 1978 Pinto with no air conditioning in the hottest summer in Atlanta in 20 years - 1980. Days and days of 104, 105 temps with 90 percent humidity and no rain. I ended up in the hospital for 9 weeks and had a premature baby and I still blame that car.

It had a blown head gasket at 56,000 miles.

But I also had a 65 Rambler “classic”. I was single and living in Atlanta and could only get on I-75 on one entrance because it was downhill a long ways and the car could actually get to 55 mph. (speed limit then).

I was driving it down Cheshire Bridge road one day and the steering wheel fell off.

But it only cost $200 bucks and liability insurance for an entire year was $95.00.

I have refused to drive anything but Toyota since. LOL
