Jim
I am the person who called you about your Michelle Obama article today. You refer to me in the article -- We are getting inundated by our readers to know if the story is true. Did you record Michelle Obama and can you release to me the audio tape.
This is very important. Please get back to me immediately.

I want to thank you for your email.
API hereby confirms to you that the story is true and if the huge interest on this particular story continues, we will post the recording on our website in the next immediate days.
When we published the story we did not intend to cause any chaos but we are shocked by the huge interest the story is receiving from the Americans and the American Media.
Mrs Obama called us just to ask API to stop joining the mainstream hate online media that is trying to destroy her husband's opportunity to get the presidency.
Our editorial will sit today and agree on how to release the information that will verify the story.
Very many media outlets are asking us to email them the recording but we think the best way to satisfy all at once is by publishing it on our website and people can retrieve it themselves.
We understand the urgency this may have but it is important for us that we do it right so that we do not land into problems with Obama's just like you did while in Kenyan recently.
Yours Sincerely,
Chief Editor Korikr

To Jerome Corsi,
We do not want to be misunderstood. We are not out to stop Obama from capturing the presidency.
We are not here to prove to people the story, but we will give proper verification so that people will understand that the story is true.
Soon, when we come with more information on the site, those who doubt the story will be surprised why Mrs Obama would choose to talk to us and not other media outlets.
We will bring out information on how she was connected to us, how she was convinced her story was safe with us and why she trusted API. And who introduced her to those who contacted API first before she personally took contact in an effort to ensure that API does not publish things on her husband that may be seen to be harmfull.
If we start dishing out audio to media outlets, we will be misunderstood. We do not want people to think that we published the story in order to spoil Obama's chances to become the president.
Those who are contacting you demanding that the story should be verified now, should be directed by your media to check our website in the next day or two. All the information will be made available, but we must do it carefully.
Regards,
Chief Editor Korir

Chief Editor Korir,
I understand your position. You should be aware that the reaction of my publishers and what I am getting from various news editors contacting me is that this may be a hoax. Your credibility and the credibility of your story will be increasingly in question the longer you postpone making a tape available. Right now, the Obama campaign is telling us that you are lying and that Michelle Obama never made any such call to you.
I convey this to you as a fellow journalist prepared to believe that what you published is true. Now that it has been called into question, please do not hesitate to prove your authenticity and the truthfulness of what you published.
Respectfully,
Jerome R. Corsi

Mr. Korir,
This is what is running on National Review Online right now. The Obama campaign is denying your report and in the USA your API is being disregarded as untruthful:
National Review OnLine
Wednesday, October 15, 2008That Michelle Obama Report [Byron York]
I'm sure a lot of you have seen references this morning to statements allegedly made by Michelle Obama in an interview with an organization called African Press International. I just asked the Obama campaign whether Michelle Obama did in fact speak to that organization, and spokesman Tommy Vietor answered:
The answer is no, it's not real, the report is made up. She did not speak to the organization.
Check it out here: http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=YWM2MDA2NzZkNzdjNWMzZGFlOGJiZGUxMzNhYjJkZDI
I encourage you to come forward with proof as soon as possible, including any Michelle Obama tape recording you may have. Otherwise, your report and your publication will soon be considered "discredited" in the USA by the Obama camp response.
Respectfully,
Jerome R. Corsi

Update : API is unhappy Corsi released the EMails, but says, "Michele Obama will have a problem to deny (we talked)". They are not happy with either side....
To Rosettasister
Thank you for the information on what is going on. We appreciate. API will not be pressurised to email the recordings to individual media outlets. API was not aware that the receptients of our emails were actually forwarding them to other media outlets. We understand that the purpose of doing so is to pressure API to release the recordings. We will do so, but at our own timing, which is going to be soon, and yet as we say, we will be carefull on how we do it because we now realise that many people want to use the recording for purposes we did not intend, when we made the recordings.
Owing to the importance of the story - now that we have realised - API will do the needfull in a day or two. While doing so, we will seek not to hurt any one with the information we have.
The truth will come out soon and the Obama campaign spokesperson(s) will have a problem to deny that API actually had a telephone conversation with Mrs Obama. Mrs Obama should open up to the campaign spokesperson(s) now so that they do not continue denying what they do not know.

Shocking development: Mrs Obama decides enough is enough: My husband was born in Hawaii and adopted by his step father, does that make him unpatriotic; she asks, on a direct telephone to API.
Posted by africanpress on October 15, 2008
Accusing API of colluding with American internet bloggers in an effort to bring down her husband, Mrs Obama said she decided to call API because of what she termed, APIs help to spread rumours created by American bloggers and other racist media outlets in their efforts to damage a black mans name, saying she hopes African Media was mature enough to be in the front to give unwavering support to her husband, a man Africans should identify themselves with.
When API told her that our online news media was only relaying what the American Bloggers and other media outlets had discovered through their investigations, Mrs Obama was angered and she came out loud with the following: African press International is supposed to support Africans and African-American view, and she went to state that, it is strange that API has chosen to support the racists against my husband. There is no shame in being adopted by a step father. All dirt has been thrown onto my husbands face and yet he loves this country. My husband and I know that there is no law that will stop him from becoming the president, just because some American white racists are bringing up the issue of my husbands adoption by His step father. The important thing here is where my husbands heart is at the moment. I can tell the American people that My husband loves this country and his adoption never changed his love for this country. He was born in Hawaii, yes, and that gives him all the right to be an American citizen even though he was adopted by a foreigner; says Michelle Obama on telefon to API.
This is a very interesting turn of events. The American man Dr Corsi was recently reported to have been arrested in Kenya because there was fear that he might reveal information on Obama when he wanted to hold a press conference in Nairobi.
The question now is why he was arrested and who ordered his arrest. Was Obamas hand in this in any way? We will never know the truth but what is clear is that Dr Corsi was seen as a threat while in Kenya.
When API asked Mrs Obama to comment on why Dr Corsi was arrested by the Kenyan government and whether she thought Kenyas Prime Minister Mr Raila Odinga was involved in Dr Corsis arrest, she got irritated and and simply told API not to dig that which will support evil people who are out to stop her husband from getting the presidency.
When asked who she was referring to as the evil people, she stated that she was not going to elaborate much on that but that many conservative white people and even some African Americans were against her husband, but that this group of blacks were simply doing so because of envy.
On Farakhan and his ministry, Mrs Obama told API that it was unfortunate that Mr Farakhan came out the way he did supporting her husband openly before the elections was over. That was not wholehearted support but one that was calculated to convince the American people that my husband will support the growth of muslim faith if he became the president, adding even if my husband was able to prove that he is not a Muslim, he will not be believed by those who have come out strongly to destroy his chances of being the next President. Do real people expect someone to deny a religion when 80 percent of his relatives are Muslims?; Mrs Obama asked.
Mrs Obama asked API to write a good story about her husband and that will earn API an invitation to the innoguration ceremony when, as she put it , her husband will be installed as the next President of the United States of America next year.

This smells like BS. Someone is trying to pull a scam. This could even be the demmies throwing out a red herring to see if the repubs pick up on it. The whole thing will be shown to be false, thereby discreditting any further truths that will come out about Obama'a "associations" with less-than-reputable people. I hope no one starts running with it until it's verified.

So Corsi has squat and is now looking to weasel AFI’s “scoop” from them.
What a schmuck. This email exchange proves that Corsi is simply a showboater, why go to Kenya to release his book or documents or whatever. DO it here.
And his “sickness” - fraudulent.
He prolly just drank some water he shouldn’t have; Americans are known to have sensitive stomachs and he shoulda stuck to the bottled water or Kenyan Beer, Tusker is great.
