Steve Corbett, a radio talk show host in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, received a copy of an internal email sent by Grant Olan who heads the Wilkes-Barre headquarters of the Obama campaign. The email went to 627 Obama campaign volunteers in the Wilkes-Barre Scranton region, saying that Obama Headquarters reported an internal poll which shows that Obama is only 2 points up in Pennsylvania.
Sean Smith, who is heading Obama's Pennsylvania campaign, was interviewed by Steve Corbett via phone at 5:35 today to discuss this. He said that Grant "went rogue", and aknowledged that Grant was "reprimanded" for this. Sean would not deny that the internal poll showed this, and his words were carefully chosen.
Obama and his allies never tell the truth, even when they tell a truth. It’s all part of one of the greatest cons in history. Second only to Paulson’s.
You are most probsbly right, but there is hope.
There are alot of Americans that aren’t political geeks
and they are very smart. They are sick and tired of being Lied too and taken as Buffoons. Nancy Pelosi(Bugeyes Piglousy) and Dinghy Harry Reid have called us failures, called Our Brave Military terrorists, Murderers and Loosers, and Our Economy in a Depression after years of badmouthing it and the lowest Unemployment ever. Dems I know dont have Obama signs out this year, they did for Lurch! They are stone quiet on Obama and many are quietly saying they are going for McCain because he closely stands for their beliefs and goals aand they are fed up with ‘Their Congress!” May GOD Continue to Bless America!
Like I’ve been saying, Obama is TOAST in Northeast PA; there are MANY Hillary supporters who are going with McCain, and that very well could put McCain/Palin over the top.

Wow, this is not what the publicly published polls are broadcasting at all.
If I were a conspiracy buff, I’d suspect that liberals had infiltrated the polling companies, parlty so that race could be blamed if Obama lost.
In this bizarre election I have been talking to some of the Hillary people that are supporting McCain and out campaigning for him in PA. They have told us in conference calls that Obama has people in every one of the polling organizations.
So far all the voter fraud they have revealed that has been turned over to the authorities has been true. First time I got an email about voter fraud from a Clinton supporter for McCain I almost fell off my chair.
Excellent post.
What an inspiring e-mail! Thank you for sharing that.
I really enjoyed reading it and made me feel really good about PA.
We are going to win this in spite of ACORN!
The Hillary supporters have actually set up a campaign HQ in Scranton: “Democrats for McCain”. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2099678/posts
You might but no candidate that wanted win would want a fake poll. The last thing a candidate wants to do is lie to himself. Every candidate needs to know exactly where he stands with voters and what he needs to do to increase his support.
Internal polls are not just about who is ahead and who is behind. They have information about where the candidate stands with various groups of voters. And which groups offer the best chance of improving his numbers. They are designed to tell a candidate what to say and whom to say it to.
Voters lie about voting. Everbody says they is going to vote even when they are not. You can’t just ask if someone is going to vote. They will lie to the pollster. Internal polls are very accurate on turn out. They make great efforts to determine who will and who will not vote.
Media campaigns use what is called enthusiasm questions to determine who will vote. If a person is for McCain but is not enthusiasic enough the media pollsters count that person as a non voter. This year many people are far more Anti Obama than they are pro McCain so the media pollsters are saying that 41 to 43 percent of the voters will be democrats and only 27 to 29 percent will be republicans.
That is based on enthusiasm. No doubt both the Obama and McCain polls show that lots of less than supportive McCain voters are going to vote to keep Obama from being president.
If one uses the 2006 turn out one gets 38 percent Democrats, to 35 percent Republicans and 27 percent independents. That gives Obama a 2 point lead. But if the anti obama voters are as motivated as I think they are it maybe 38 percent democrats to 38 percent Republicans and 24 percent independents. But if the younger voters for Obama vote as younger voters always do, then it could be 35 percent Democrats to 38 percent republicans and 27 percent independents. It that is the case them McCain wins an easy victory.
One thing for sure Biden and the Clintons drew just 3,000 people in the democratic town of Scranton PA. Two days later Sarah drew 6,000 people. In 1948 Truman was 20 points behind in the polls. But every where Truman went he out drew Dewey and on election day Truman won.
Here’s a link to the actual interview: http://audio.wilknewsradio.com/m/audio/21203046/corbett-speaks-with-sean-smith.htm
Interesting stuff. I don’t think there’s any way on God’s green Earth that turnout resembles the 2006 (off year) level. I fully expect 2004 levels - which ended up with 37% Dem, 37% GOP, 26% Indies. Obama can’t win with those numbers. And you’re right, if the youth vote disappoints yet again, then we may be looking at a strong electoral defeat of the Obamessiah.
If Snob-ama is only up by 2 in Pennsylvania, he is not up by double-digits nationally. In fact, if he is only up by 2 in Pennsylvania - if that is a truly accurate polling result - then it would be more likely that he is actually a little behind Sen. McCain nationally.
Thx....kinda as I expected....
Exactly. Now, to determine which is more likely to be true (Obama leading nationally by double digits, or McCain tied or slightly ahead nationally) - ask yourself... where were McCain and Palin yesterday? Pennsylvania. Where was Palin last weekend? Two PA events. Where are McCain and the RNC spending money? PA.
If the election were held tomorrow, McCain/Palin would win.
Thanks for the link...
The PA polls ALL have been cooked recently.
I have looked at the demographcis and they are OVERSAMPLING yoiunger, more highly educated female voters. Some of these polls have internal demographics showing that 56% of the respondents and 44% had bachelor’s degrees (only 25% over 25 years of age have bachlors in PA) and 18% had graduate degrees and 60% make over 50,000 a year (average household income inPA is $44,000).
So when you oversample younger females with graduate degrees earning large salaries you easily get a 15 point Obama lead.
This is good news!
It doesn’t if the registration done by ACORN is false - they plan to vote Mickey Mouse, Jimmy John and all the rest using absentee ballots.
