FORMER Cuban president Fidel Castro says a “profound racism” in the United States will stop millions from voting for Barack Obama in next month’s presidential election and it is a miracle the Democratic candidate has not been assassinated.
The ailing 82-year-old made the comments in a 1,200-word reflection on recent global economic problems and the contest for the White House, published by Cuban state media on Saturday night.
“Racism is deeply rooted in the United States where the mind of millions of people can hardly reconcile with the notion that a black man, with his wife and children could live in the White House, which is precisely called White. It’s a miracle that the Democratic candidate has not met the same destiny as Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and others who only a few decades ago dreamed of justice and equality."
Castro said Republican candidate John McCain likes to enhance his reputation as a belligerent man and he was one of the worst students in his class at West Point.
“Something McCain has aplenty is age, and his health condition is not safe,” he said.
He said he highlighted this because, if McCain is elected and anything went wrong with his health, then: “the lady of the rifle, the inexperienced former [sic] governor of Alaska could be come president of the United States. It can be noticed that she does not know a thing.”
Why is this article BS?
1. McCain did NOT attend West Point. He attended the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. He was a career naval officer, from a career naval family. His father and grandfather were admirals, a naval rank. Navy. West Point is Army
2. The above error should be put in the context of Castro speaking Spanish and not English. Odds are that someone translated what Fidel said into English. I'm betting that Castro said something like "military school" and some smart translator translated that as "West Point." This, of course, calls into question every bit of this article, because there's now reason to wonder if the translator took such liberties with everything that was said.
3. No matter how you look at it, either Fidel or the translator are deficient.
4. Finally, Useless Grant was near the bottom of his class, also. Leadership ability isn't necessarily defined in ways that traditionalists call "success."
5. Entrance into a military academy is already highly selective. Just getting in requires great ability and promise.
I’ve never quite understood this “Obama will be a target of right wing assassins” garbage, if I recall correctly the only presidents of the US to be assassinated were murdered by extreme radicals, Lincoln was a Republican shot by a man who was a follower of the extreme fringe of the Democrat party, McKinlay was murdered by a left wing anarchist, Kennedy was assassinated by a Moscow trained Communist and his brother by a Palestinian fanatic.
Add to those the attempts on Ford and Reagan by deranged nutters not known for their support of conservative values and you have to wonder where the “crazed right wing assassin” theory comes from.
Yet another ringing endorsement for Obama.
The real miracle is that Bush is still alive considering all the sick leftists out there.
