Looking forward to seeing how full the Richmond International Arena will be tomorrow at Sarah's rally! The McCain campaign had to get a larger venue due to ticket demands and the only place they could get was the arena. The campaign said they didn't expect to fill the 100,000 capacity arena, but do expect a large crowd. I hope the place is packed! I live 14 hours away, or I would be there! Spread the word if you know supporters in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, DC who might live within a manageable driving distance to Richmond!
Hockey fans would boo their own mothers if they had enough beer in them. If the Gov is a true hockey mom, she would know that.
Actually, I watched the video. I didn’t detect much booing, more or less enthusiastic cheers. There may have been a few boos, but overall, she seemed to have been very warmly received. Listen and decide for yourself.

I think cheers clearly drown out any stray boos.
except in the current news cycle where the big push is to show how angry and hateful McCain, Palin and their supporters are. It looks to me that they're downplaying. Fox, coincidentally, just showed it and the female reporter's comment was "they're so mean..."
Flyers fans are the most obnoxious in the NHL.
As someone who lived in Philly suburbs the booing doesn’t surprise me at all. Fans of all sports in Philadelphia take pride in being the rudest, nastiest fans in the country. For them it is a badge of honor to see which group can be the worse.
Don’t believe Sarah Palin had a clue how the fans would react...her advisors should have known...but then I guess they would expect the city of brotherly love to show a little more class.....never gonna happen!
I have FOX News on TV as I sit here at the keyboard, they were just talking about the boos on their tape. Then talked about how stupid it was for Republicans to send Palin in there.
I think it may depend on where you sat and where you directed your mike. The clip I posted above doesn’t sound at all “hateful”. (Can we authenticate any of the audio? Booing could have been added later...)
she responded well, but I wonder if it’s the first time Piper has seen that kind of ugliness.
Which is why whoever decided it would be a good idea for her to do this was insane. They boo Santa Clause and Mike Schmidt in Philadelphia. They knew the game they were playing and got burned. Look at this bit from an article on the Fox News site:
“The GOP Vice-Presidential nominee said at an earlier fundraiser that she would stop some of the booing from the rowdy Philadelphia fans by putting her seven year old daughter, Piper in a Flyers jersey. She said, How dare they boo Piper!
Her secret weapon may have worked. The crowd in this staunchly Democratic city visited today by Barack Obamagave Palin mixed reviews. There were audible boos over the very loud music and some in the crowd had their thumbs down, but there were also many people clapping and cheering the GOP Vice-Presidential nominee.”
They played a game of chicken and lost.
We have three weeks to organize. We have to vote all the creeps out. We love our country and the Socialists have to go. It is the House we have to work on. Find out there voting record if they wobbled
on immigration vote them out. If you are an activist already make your calls. We have three weeks.

Outside the Bellevue, Palin, sitting in her car, gave a little back and forth wave to the protesters, who in return gave her thumbs down and rounds of boos."Back to Alaska, They shouldn't have Asked ya!" read one poster on the median.
Police said about 400 protesters lined the streets outside the hotel, the same number that organizers expected at the fundraiser, chanting to each other and to passing motorists. Inside, Palin got her hair and makeup done at Pierre and Carlo salon.
At times, Republicans attending the event and protesters confronted one another.
"They are hooligans," said Bucks County restauranteur and McCain supporter Andrew Abruzzese, after he flashed a peace sign at protesters, who responded with raised middle fingers. Another Republican complained of being jostled.
Of Palin's rise from PTA activist to City Council to mayor to governor to vice presidential candidate, "You couldn't get a more natural progression than that."
Several Republicans attendees complained of the protesters' vulgarity, especially in light of recent criticism of the behavior of people at McCain-Palin rallies.
Outside Broad Street, waiting for Palin to leave, one man was heard saying, "Let's stone her, old school."
Another protester shouted at someone entering the hotel, "Wait till your daughter wants an abortion, you hypocrite."
Note that Obambi was in four places in Philly yesterday. But 400 of his goons preferred to hurl obscenities at Sarah Palin and her daughters. How tolerant!
several sports boards covered the game and guys text in their messages, just like the comments on Youtube— many talked about the loud boos. The point i’m making is that this contradicts the MSM news cycle spin that it’s McCain’ supporters who are angry and hateful.
The older one seems kind of shy but the little one....for her to be so devastated...she sure was doing a lot of waving and smiling as they left the ice:’).
Sarah was proving to the country she IS NOT afraid to walk into the lion’s den with a smile and a wave. God Bless Gov. Palin.
Cut it Out!
The Cheers were overwhelming! Even AP said “ a few boos!”
They were Cheered and it was Great For America and for Hockey! GOD BLESS SARH!
Bet You didn’t even know that the Team Captain for The RANGERS is Scott Gomez, the FIRST ALASKAN to Win The Stanley Cup and carry it down Anchorages’ Main Street in 2003! and he kissed Sarah twice as Governor and sincere Friend!
Let the MSM try to make this a mess, LET US Celebrate This Triumph!
you got it. The media is now downplaying leftist hatred to raise the specter of out of control conservatives— John Lewis, Kerry, Obama himself to Mccain: “thanks for toning down the rhetoric.”
