Just shoring up another blue state
if WV is in doubt then it’s over.
What Palin should be doing is throwing McCain under the bus...she should be visiting places and setting herself up for 2012. The campaign is over is WV is needing a visit.
What I don’t understand is why she is going to two fairly small towns in Ohio. I’m sure there is a strategic reason but being from Missouri myself I wouldn’t know what those reasons might be. What are your thoughts?
Because she’s oing from Pennsylvania to Virginia... why not make a quick stop?
Huntington is probably the closest airport to those Ohio towns that can take her campaign aircraft (I’ve been through Gallipolis and it’s pretty small). Plus it’s a border city with Ohio AND Kentucky, so it will pull voters from three states.

I’m guessing Bob Evans Farm Festival going on all weekend. Very big crowds from tri-sate area.
Why has McCain been in Iowa twice in the past week ?
It’s certainly close enough to stop by. It’s not like she’s wasting her time.
“But, why is she starting the day in West Virginia ?”
For the same reason she started today in “Murthaville” (aka Johnstown, PA) :) I mean, why bother here in what is *supposedly* a “guaranteed” Dem stronghold. ;)
And while Mr. Ranger and I couldn’t attend (terminal illness in the family) she packed the local War Memorial Arena with her usual SRO and beyond crowd. Mr. Ranger did see her motorcade pass by on 219N (aka the world’s least used 4-lane :) as he was headed in to the hospital.
You think it won’t be “remembered” that *she* could bother to show up in these areas, while the big O *obviously* can’t be bothered? ;)
My 80+ mil is in a convalescent home, healing a broken leg, yet her biggest concern is being well enough to go cast her vote. We promised that even if we have to wheel her in, she’ll get to cast her vote, because, as she said, “It matters”. :)
Huntington is just across the river from Ohio. There’s a VA hospital located there, so it could be an intended campaign stop for that reason alone.
Perhaps she needs to go to church. Has she gone since the announcement. Even though I was a candidate, I would still insist I go to church on Sundays. Although I am Catholic and it is seriously fround if you miss. I don’t know if it mandatory for her to go or not.
According to an American Research Group, WV is in play.
Obama 50, McCain 42 / Oct 8

“Because the Huntington WV television market serves Southern Ohio.”
BINGO! We have a winner!
The Glen Beck show said a recent poll in WV said Hussein was up by 7. No, I don’t know which poll or any details. I just know they said one existed.
Bad news.
Huntington, while not being N.Y. is the media center for the South of Ohio as well as eastern Kentucky and much of W.Va.
Any media coverage she gets in Huntington will reverberate through the area.
My M-I-L got to meet Sarah in the Gallipolis Walmart today. She just happened to be there when Sarah came in to buy diapers, with Trig on her shoulder and her S.S. entourage in tow. The M-I-L was thrilled to meet her, and I’m jealous.
