The Rebellion Has Begun
Townhall.com ^ | October 10, 2008 | Sandy

What is that spirit that we recognize and can build on? What is that spirit that we want to connect to … that spirit of rebellion? The spirit of resistance ... the spirit of insurgency! It’s that spirit we should be talking about.

—Bill Ayers, 2007, on the occasion of the 40-year anniversary of the Weather Underground

Perhaps his wife, Bernadine Dohrn expressed that “spirit” best in a public warning at the zenith of the Weather Underground’s influence:

Now we are everywhere and next week families and tribes will attack the enemy around the country. We’re not just attacking targets; we’re bringing the pitiful, helpless giant (the USA) to its knees. Guard your planes … guard your colleges … guard your banks … guard your children … guard your doors.

This election long ago ceased to be a partisan battle between Republicans and Democrats. It really isn’t a contest over big and small government, higher or lower taxes, or even abortion and homosexual rights.

Somewhere along the way while most of us were enjoying our precious freedoms, taking kids to soccer, ordering pizza and listening to our iPods, there was another group of people who were at work to destroy America. Even as they enjoyed with us its benefits, they schemed and planned and, moment by moment, inch by inch gained a footing and we never realized the ground was shifting.

You could say the groundwork was laid in the ’50s when radicals who were often synonymous with communists made a concerted attempt to destroy America through infiltration of media, government and labor unions. Top secret documents were leaked to the Soviets which resulted in the charge of treason for Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. America believed in punishing its traitors then and they paid with their lives.

The children of the ’60s, raised in postwar prosperity on the “don’t discipline” philosophy of the wildly popular Dr. Benjamin Spock, were fertile young plants for leftist fodder. Throwing off all constraints, they embraced “free love,” unbridled drug use and turned with a vengeance on the parents whose system of values they had come from. Their indulgent refusal to embrace rules, coupled with legitimate simmering emotions of the black community over cruelty and discrimination, created the “perfect storm” of protest and violence—one group rejecting any restraint, the other rebelling from too much of it.

Surely the protest methods were as different as the participants. Hippies were often little more than clueless spoiled brats dulled by drugs, but others were serious radicals who preyed upon trouble and agitated it with the stated purpose of revolution. They wanted to overthrow the government of the United States of America. The black movement was characterized on the one hand by the high-minded non-violence of Dr. Martin Luther King, and on the other by the violent anger of the Black Panthers. The hate-filled factions of each, black and white, found each other and together nearly shipwrecked the country and undermined the Vietnam War. It was success for the rebellion in part … but not completely.

As those frustrated radicals came of age, they realized they would have to game the system, and improve their plans to accomplish their goals. They got advanced degrees and begin to fill colleges and universities. They slowly infiltrated the professional organizations of almost every major field of endeavor—education, medicine, retired citizens and unions. Gradually, these professional associations began to use their members’ money to fund leftist causes. Leftist leaders spoke for their membership as if they had the right. And perception became reality for the members. Then they did what all socialist regimes have done … they radicalized public school. They virtually eliminated the American story from history, removed civics, dumbed down math and science and English with outcome-based education. It became more important that kids had the right “thinking” on social and environmental issues than that they understood the academic disciplines. They took over law school faculties, co-opted many mainline Christian denominations—like Methodists and Presbyterians—and subtly replaced the teachings of scripture on man’s need for redemption with emphases on social justice and helping the poor. Man could now obtain his own redemption without any inconvenient mention of sin or moral behavior.

Once again they infiltrated Hollywood and news media, this time without consequence. In fact they managed to turn the consequences upon those opposing leftist views. They produced movies and reported news designed to support their view of the country—and it wasn’t a good one.

As with the communist agitators in Western Europe and later China, they learned to agitate, to find trouble and make it worse. Natural disasters, strikes, environmental concerns, the method was the same. Agitate. Stir up. Scare people and make things worse than they were so that people would look to their movement for “change.”

For nearly four decades, while we were living our lives and enjoying our freedoms, they were working diligently to destroy them. And now their plans have found the perfect personification in the handsome and charismatic Senator Barack Obama. But while he seems to bring new inspiration, their philosophy is as old as time.

They know who their inspiration is: Saul Alinsky, the ’60s author and philosopher of the left who profoundly influenced Hillary Clinton, Bill Ayres and Bernadine Dohrn and Barack and Michelle Obama. Alinksy stated clearly in the dedication of his famous treatise, “Rules for Radicals”:

To the very first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom—Lucifer.

The rebellion has found new strength. The attempted destruction of America has begun—and it is not a partisan fight.

...conserving your worth is to consider buying more real estate and some gold.

Gold and real estate work great IF inflation's the problem.

If deflation's the problem (which is what I believe) you're better off in short term T-bills, money market accounts based on treasuries and cash in a safe deposit box. If it's deflation, gold will drop with all the other commodities.

For them the frustration of losing the last 2 elections plus the loss of the Messiah could finally do it. For us, well, we know what is potentially at stake.

Especially since (I am convinced) the 'fix' was in for both of them. Between the polls softening up the electorate psyche and the voter fraud out there, I'd wager Bush won with a far better margin than we can imagine.

This time, note polls are showing Obambam with a 10 point lead--while the ACORN vote fraud story is just breaking in the 'battleground' states--almost 1/4 of the states in the Union. Instead of the MSM screaming from the rooftops that this has to be cleaned up, they are muttering what a shame it is that this happened so close to the election and can't possibly be adequately investigated before November. (The equivalent of 'just roll over and take it').

Convincing the electorate that Obama is winning before the dead even have a chance to vote a few times is laying the groundwork, as is shifting the blame from those who deserve it (for the financial meltdown) to the Republicans, especially McCain.

If Obama is declared the winner, we are screwed, and if he loses, they will claim the election has been stolen, with the added plus of having pimped the whole racist/class envy bit to the point where there could be some serious civil unrest.

For those who live in urban areas, now is the time to find out about the laws in your state and local area about self-defense and the use of lethal force, and keep your actions as much as possible within those legal boundaries so you can avoid prosecution when this all is settled, should there be serious problems in your area.

REBELLION?

OK kids what is the difference between a rebellion and a revolution?

SUCCESS!

A rebellion is a failed revolution. Epic fail.

We see the same thing RA and I agree with your page. Not gloom and doom but a clear way of looking at things based on reality and the evidence at hand.

Every once in awhile a gun thread will show up on FR and good on ‘em but what some “youngsters” don’t understand is the massive tracking system of gun sales, serial numbers and other details provided by the “yellow form”. Oh, if you have some old trades that weren’t from a gun dealer, sure, no tracking but you’re still going to have to make some mighty tough decisions when a team (it will be teams, not individuals) of LEOs (or some sort of goon squad created for this purpose by these people, BO has already eluded to this) knock on your door and ask you outright about firearms in the house.

Then there’s the isolation brought on by shutting down talk radio and other avenues of info. SW radio may exist and no doubt will, there will be all sorts SW band radio but with today’s technology, they too can be tracked down. There will always be clandestine resources but it’s going to take a lot of creativity.

Reeducation “camps” are already in their infancy with such programs like the required “cultural diversity” programs in law enforcement, teaching, all gov’t agencies. There are always the rebels that resist that propaganda but there are also a lot that buy into it, I’ve seen it in the courses I had to attend over the years, they’re just peachy-keen with it and would turn into an informant in a heartbeat if they felt it would “buy” something from their “superiors”—quislings.

We’ll have to bank on the assumption that there still is that strong crimson thread that connects all true Americans, like one FReeper’s tag line used to say: I don’t live in America, America lives in me. I like that, that’ll work for me.

First, don't put all your eggs in one basket. Keep the arms you buy on the yellow sheet separate from those purchased through private sales, and when they come, decide to surrender them or not.

Obtain others of the same caliber through private sales and keep them separate, but at least one or two 'handy'. (Storage units in your name will be likely searched as well, so get creative.) Any purchases of ammunition which you make via credit card or check are likely traceable as well, so the recorded arms will cover for ammo for the ones which are off the books.

Do not order ammunition in quantities so large that you cannot claim to have shot it up, and be at the range often, if even only for a magazine or two, to bolster claims of having used up ammo and to keep your skills fresh.

Better to buy twice as much as you use, pay cash, and salt the 'extra' away. Spread the (cash) purchases around several stores, if you want to accumulate ammo faster--they can use the business, and you don't trip any flags that way.

If your jurisdiction requires some sort of record of ammo purchases, you might as well buy in bulk, it is cheaper and it will be recorded anyway.

If it’s not outright armed rebellion, the battle is in the schools. We have to agitate like they have at the educational level. Whether it is home schooling, private schools or reforming the public schools.

The leftists started in the 60’s. Baby boomer wealth afforded parents the opportunity to leave the education to the professionals. Coupled with the decline in church attendance, children were left with school teachers and entertainment writers to create their world-view.

Schools no longer require independent study or reading proficiency. All that is required is attendance. The most important lesson taught is not self-sufficiency, but the harmfulness of human activity to the environment.

As a political issue, I believe we should look for a compromise with the left in this way: the left has convinced the masses that educational spending is the path to happiness. Let’s give them lots of money with the condition that personal education should be completed when one graduates high school. We could close down 70% of the colleges and have those brilliant professors teaching at the high school level.

Why does a person need 4 years of college? Why can’t people be competent educated by the 12th grade, ready to take care of themselves and able to perform most jobs? Vocational training should also be an option at the high school lever. Should college really be for those who need a more specialized education, not sports marketing or communication degrees?

We have to end the coddling of children way past traditional adulthood. They must learn to earn their wealth - and at a much earlier level. It is time to end the unnecessary crippling of children that makes them wards of the state from cradle to grave. Then, we will have the opportunity to be free of divine kings, messiahs and “hope and change”.

The loss of Talk Radio, in my opinion, will become the biggest loss we will suffer out here in the heart land. That will effectively shut up all communications for us. They will of course also shut down our web sites, like FR, so that we cannot communicate the word to our side. That effectively shuts us up to what they are doing in Moscow, D.C. Our loss of Talk Radio and the Internet web sites will hurt us totally. This election is about LIBERTY. Not the economy, anything else, but LIBERTY! Your very freedom is at hand. And damn it, 50% of America is willing to give up LIBERTY for free s*&t! That pi$$e$ me off to no end.

It seems to me that you've already pretty effectively rebelled to the best of your ability.

You're living the whole 'tune in and drop out' thing.

Notice I left out the 'turn on' part.

If ANY registration can not be verified, it must be discarded. Period, no exceptions. Get the word out that this is the case, if those who registered were legit, it is up to them to go in and dispute it, bringing with them proper legal identification. It is not up to government to see that everyone is registered to vote and enforce some law saying everyone should. It is up to citizens, individuals, to see that they are and to produce the necessary identification. All else is fraud.

Please tell me what else we can do.

You can pray. In fact, it may be the best thing you can do.

13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

These traitors represent a microscopic minority. They are quite literally...insane. The average Mr. and Miss Joe America may fall for Obama’s promises (lies) now but if he and his friends get in to leadership and start pulling this Commie revolutionary propaganda, The REAL America (yes, many are in hibernation mode, but that will change overnight) will open a can of worms on their behinds of the likes they have no comprehension of fathoming. We saw a glimpse of this REAL America after 9/11. All I can say is that I have seen Americans (nonviolently) band together to fight the government corruption on a local level and when it happens, it scares the hell out of the politicians. Once our fuse is lit...watch out! If and when these Commies wake the Sleeping Giant they will be greatly sorry. As far as Martial Law goes, our (God Bless them) military aren't the jackbooted thugs of other countries in the past. Even given the “10% rule” (10% of any group could be rotten to the core) of those who might turn on their own family to follow corrupt orders, 90%+ are probably more patriotic than most of us on FR and have taken a solemn oath to defend our Constitution. So these Commie idiots better go back into the stinkin hole from which they came... Most importantly though, is by prayer and repentance in this nation, perhaps God in His infinite mercy will once again put leadership fit for leading into place to make America a light to the nation's once again.

Me too. I believe her name is Allison Krause and I remember reading somewhere long ago that she was only fourteen years old at the time. She sure didn’t look fourteen to me.

According to a 2005 Brown University web site called Visual Thinking/Visual Computing from a visual syllabus in its Department of Computer Science, her name was Mary Ann Vecchio. Here is part of their caption of the famous "girl screaming over body of student killed by National Guard at Kent State" photo:

When President Richard Nixon said he was sending troops to Cambodia, the nation's colleges erupted in protest. At Kent State some threw rocks. The Ohio National Guard, called in to quell the turmoil, suddenly turned and fired, killing four; two were simply walking to class. This photo captured a pivotal moment: American soldiers had just killed American kids. Student photographer John Filo won the Pulitzer; the event was also memorialized in a Neil Young song and a TV movie. The girl, Mary Ann Vecchio, turned out not to be a Kent State student, but a 14-year-old runaway. She was sent back to her family in Florida.

I’m beginning to think it a done deal that Obama is “elected” as president. McCain stated in a recent town hall meeting that he personally likes Obama and that we should not be afraid if he is elected president, or words to that effect.

Sounds like McCain has his marching orders from the New World Order; lose the election.

Let’s pray I’m totally wrong.
