A new series about the female mayor of a small town has jumped from the back burner to the front, thanks to Sarah Palin.
The proposed show, tentatively titled "Cadillac Ranch," comes with a big-name director attached - Adam Shankman, who choreographed and directed the movie version of "Hairspray."
Shankman is also well-known for his frequent appearances as a guest judge on "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox.
With its quirky, small-town setting and female-politician lead character, the show's concept has recently become more timely for its resemblance to the life of Palin.

We'll need something with an edge, to draw the younger audience. How about:
"I'm Palin: The Vampire Slayer"
OMG, Does anyone else remember Carter Country?
The show centered around police chief Roy Mobey and his group of bungling deputies and the big controversy was having a black man as a police sergeant (for you see, almost everybody in Georgia was supposed to be a racist) and the episodes often featured Roy Mobey dealing with the "good ole boy" mayor of the town and basically keeping him out of trouble. In a typical episode, Roy Mobey is shocked, SHOCKED I tell you, to find that his buddy at the auto garage is overcharging Yankee tourists for car repairs.
Oh, those crazy Georgia southerners! They'll do it every time.
Anyway, another popular show around that time was "James at 15" which featured some mixed-up kid moving to Boston with his parents from Oregon and not adjusting very well at all. Which I can't blame him for because Boston is one hell of a strange place to grow up in. The next year, the name of the show predictably changed to "James at 16" but we never found out how he fared after he hit 17 because the show was cancelled.
no that’s Impalin’
Oh, ooohh! She's the Sheriff!
Wait, I heard they were addicted to guns and their religion!
Sarah is a great deal prettier than Richard Boone.
