Obama purchases half hour of primetime on CBS, also in talks with FOX, NBC... DEVELOPING...
Here’s what going to happen when He Who Must Not Be Named doe his little thing on the boob tube:
1) He’s going to make people think he’s buying an election.
2) He’s going to make people think, in a way, that he doth protest too much.
3) He’ll give us the impression that he can’t really do what he needs to do in a debate, despite all the orgasms on CNN or um’s and uh’s we had to sit through twice.
4) He’ll just give many the impression that he won’t shut up.
5) Worst of all, he’ll look like a guy who’s already ahead, and bullying the underdog. This one is sort of a behind the scenes, hard to put your finger on dynamic. He’s not being gracious with his so-called lead.
Ta da!
McCain has 90 mins. of FREE AIR TIME to hit OsAMA between the walnuts on the last debate!! He don’t need NO STINKING half an hour all he needs to do is hit it outta the ballpark and go on attack the EMPEROR FROM HELL on his final debate!!
SCARY coming form that loathsome woman!
This could very well backfire on him like the speech in Berlin did. Sometimes it is better to be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt. It also gives McCain five days to rebut whatever Obama has to say.
I wonder what it will be this year? Troopergate report released? “McCain had a stroke”? While the “scandal” is uncertain at this point, make no mistake. Obama will sell himself for a solid half-hour, and the next morning or even that evening the NYT will have a “bombshell” scandal involving McCain/Palin.
Exactly. You said it better than I did. In fact, I highly encourage us all to not give out anymore free wisdom like this going forward.
Moderators: please remove all good posts on how this would be bad for Obama to do :)
Some bombshells are more equal than others. McCain could drop one just before the primetime appearance, which would deflect attention from what Obama has to say or he could drop it afterwards, especially if it undercuts what Obama says. The fact that Obama has committed to a date could prove useful for McCain.
Who is actually going to sit and watch this guy blather to the camera for half an hour? Gack!
He’s committing overkill.
Nope. He only gets an opportunity to buy an equal block of time, and all indications are that he can’t afford it.
At this point, he’s looking for a Reagan-level mandate (100+ spread in electoral vote, multimillion spread in popular vote).
The anniversary of the 1929 crash -- he's probably making a speech on how he intends to fix the economy....
No. Where did you get that notion?
Soros made most of his money by betting on failing economies.
He'll be lucky to win let alone get a "Reagan-level mandate".
Economy is in the crapper, the Left has drilled into America about an unpopular war, a sitting president of the opposing party with popularity ratings in the 20% range, and an opponent that has just now begun to hit back.
All this and McCain is only down by a few points in the polls. And then there is the fact that a large portion of the Democrat Party won't vote for a Black guy.
By the fact that every Presidential weekend address to the nation is followed by an inane point by point “rebuttal” by a democrat shill. I was unaware the democrats were paying for their “equal” follow-on air time.
What I don’t understand is why McCain isn’t hammering Osama on campaign financing. Osama said he’ll take public funds then reneged. Now it looks like he has unlimited money. Even before the Barack Hussein Obama show is supposed to air the eom he’s been blowing money like he doesn’t have to worry about it running out. Why doesn’t McCain bring this up?
About 10 days,I suggested that McCain buy some infomercial time to explain “it all”. Perot’s posters and pie charts were pretty effective. Sarah would be great doing something like this.
Great idea.
He seems to be unwilling to view his mission here with a sense of urgency, as being the single most inmportant figure standing between this nation's bright future and its alternative of being surrendered to values dictated by narcissitic depravity, that hate America, hate and envy free enterprise, dismiss success as “winning life's lottery”, hate traditional values and are contemptuous of common people and their families and our Judeao-Christian heritage.
He wanted this nomination dammit. If he doesn't feel the same alarm and urgency about what may come, and go fight for the party he represents- then may history pity us and condemn him.
And he can stuff the phrase “my friend”. Stop trying to be patronizing. No one out here is his “friend”
Good pick up. Is he going to play Herbert Hoover?
