While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.
She needs health care. Maybe Barack Obama will call for universal pet care. "It's only fair."
Thanks. I have been whining on FR a bit tonight... I admit it. But I call 'em as I see 'em, warts and all, as I said to another FReeper earlier. I'm sensitive as well, and pretty cranky to see Obama gaining in the polls, particularly in the swing states. I just can't believe so many people trust this two-bit no-experience hack to be the next Commander in Chief of the United States.
I just heard the first few minutes of the repeat of the debate on Fox News. McCain actually sounds pretty good. Maybe I need to watch the debate again when I'm not so tired... :o)
My tagline was pretty much a direct message to third-party voting and "stay at home on election day" Freepers who were going to refuse to vote for McCain because of principle (thus helping Obama to win). That pretty much all changed once Sarah Palin came on board. Freepers seem to be unified in their support for McCain-Palin. Perhaps I should come up with a new tagline... ;-)
Tell me I’m wrong about George Clooney being too emotionally immature and self-centered.....glad I could provide some amusement. Lord knows, we weren’t entertained much tonite over the debate, although I believe the statesmanship gap between the candidates clarified things for McCain. Osama is so full of himself, I needed a barf bucket.
My HO, BTW — landslide in our favor. Even Osama fans know he is light years away from being ready to govern this nation.
I have to ask everyone, who here thinks 0 is going to win Virginia? How bout North Carolina? Florida? Missourri? Nevada? Ohio? Indiana?
I’m not convinced that Mac is gonna lose those states, I just don’t see it. What I’m worried about is Colorado. Iowa, they and New Mexico have crossed to the dark side, but Colorado. I just don’t know. FReeper Morgan in Denver said the other day she was convinced Mac would win Colorado. I just don’t know.
Thanks for the info!
When you mentioned MadIvan and Pukin Dog, I thought “Oh yeah, I remember those names”.
Do you recall what some of the reasons were for the bannings?
LOL, you're probably right. In that case, McCain-Palin should carry on in slamming Obama over Ayers, ACORN, etc. Whatever sticks and resonates with voters.
“I can only think about how tiring this is for Sarah and her family and John and his family. Whew!!!”
They do those insane dog sled races in Alaska. Trust me, they have the endurance. This in NOTHING for them.
Thanks, and I guess we’re kind of in the same place. I’m not saying I’m not worried, but it almost seems as though if I believe it, it’ll be so, so I’m looking for the good.
The tagline is just my worst nightmare-I honestly mean that-a baby killing, terrorist sympathising, black liberation theology marxist, gun grabbing racist, being our commander-in-chief? Maybe you could just add something to the line about how horrible that would be, in case someone is so deluded as to not see that it speaks for itself :)
I’ve got to get to bed, again, sorry for shooting my mouth off at you.
I've been thinking about that ... but in fairness to McCain, would Sarah be on the ticket at all without him? I don't see any of our other choices nominating her as their running mate. I think it took a McCain to choose a Pitbull (my two cents).
In all honesty, I was making a little joke about putting Sarah on top of the ticket. Maybe in four years... ;-)
Yes, we should give credit to McCain for choosing Sarah. However, I don't know if it really was McCain, or his campaign advisors who strongly suggested he pick Sarah. Rumor has it that McCain wanted to go with Tom Ridge or Joe Lieberman... yikes. Since I don't know what the truth is, then... yes, credit goes to McCain for picking Sarah.
A stopped clock is right twice a day...
Think Pukin got into over the Rudy purges although it more likely was finding an 18 yr old chick that interested him more than FR.
Pray for W, Palin/McCain and Our Troops
this election is not about MCCAIN VS OBAMA
IT IS ABOUT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA VS AMERICA!!!
WE MUST DEFEAT HIM!
Oh oh. Now ya gone & done it.
The best thing about John’s performance was that Oboredom was just as bad from clices in search of an idea.
Pray for W, Palin/McCain and Our Troops
I know... it's my worst nightmare, too. It bothers me night and day that Obama might end up in the White House. With a democRAT-controlled House and Senate to boot. {{shudder}}
Ive got to get to bed, again, sorry for shooting my mouth off at you.
That's OK... glad to meet you, FRiend. I don't think I've posted to you before tonight.
I'm going to do my best to look for some more cheerful news regarding McCain-Palin tomorrow... hopefully things will look up. As Karl Rove always says: "It's still an 'eternity' until Election Day." Good night. :o)
Hussein said, “Two years ago, I sent a letter to Fed Chairman Bernanke warning about the impending subprime mortgage crisis...”
The problem for this drooling, lying imbecile? Two years ago, Alan Greenspan was the Fed Chairman, not Bernanke. In fact, I’ll bet that two years ago, Husseinhad no idea who Bernanke was or how to get in touch with him.
TAKEN FROM THE CHAT ROOM...PRETTY SMART.
Check your FRmail...
Oh, we will have a grassroots revolt, but it will take the likes of one American Black Wannabe to get Americans off their ample buttock's. With great wealth and ignorance, we have learned to tolerate a disaster a whole order of magnitude worse than that which our Founder's gladly started a war.
WE MUST DEFEAT HIM!
Hey, we're on the same page, FRiend... I agree! This bothers me night and day, and moreso as Obama is gaining in the polls. We've got to keep pounding Obama on his character and judgement: Ayers, Wright, Alinsky, ACORN, Rezko, etc.
Before you start spreading that around Fed Chairman Bernanke took over for Greenspan Feb 1 2006.
That is over 2 years.
Lets not give the left ammo with spreading this stuff.
I think the letter BO actually sent was in favor of sub prime and shows he supported the problem we face now. I could be mistaken.
