While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

Probably not the best format for that, per se, and maybe wiser to keep that talk confined to the campaign trail for this round, Now, if in the next debate, they do something similiar to the MSNBC Democratic primary debate between Clinton/Obama where they show a clip of such rheutoric and ask the speaker to qualify it...BIN-GO!

not everyone watches the debates and mccain can use what he left “unanswered” to beat the obama with later. im sure palin will step in and take a wack at the mole too. obama sucked dude. i like that mccain did not btch about obama hoggin the time, it just made obama look worse because he said nothing and the moderator more biased. why all the doom here? Holy cow. I am the resident cheerleader and will only delve into this sewer once. I was so disappointed in how Mac avoided all of the obvious slam dunks that Obama lobbed his way.

0bama did not disappoint, he repeated his talking points without teleprompter, but, added very little. I found myself dosing off while he was taking.

I don’t get it! They have been telling us nothing matters in this election except the economy. Then Luntz’s group said McCain did better on the economy.

Did you notice when Luntz asked for a show of hands on the economy (those that thought McCain did better) with the camera on them - only about half of them raised their hands. COWARDS! Explain that, Luntz!

bho doesn't share the same beliefs as the most of the USA on those subjects and brokjaw knows it. Thus he avoided them altogether.
