While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.
And now we get to listen to the planted Obamorons tell us how he touched them or explained his position much better on health care etc. BARF BARF BARF
Arkansas! hahahah
I expect Boone Pickens to come out for Obama just before the elections.
Oh yeah, that guy was an independent.
CSPAN now- yuck.
Good grief. These people are fooled by the style and bookish knowledge bambi memorizes.
I sure do fear for this nation. He seems like such a newbie, a child compared to McCain when it comes to readiness for potus!!
Pathetic.
Back to waiting for the new South Park episode :)
“Nonsense. A debate does not a president make. McCain just didnt overwhelm in the debate, but lose the White House because of it...Naw.”
I agree with you, madison. :) I think perhaps you were answering to Boagenes (post 4712).
You’re right, he didn’t overwhelm, but he came across as sincere and passionate about his country. He also said over and over the great things about America, where Obama was constantly negative.
I think people respond more to a positive message, especially when you’re describing them, basically. People make up America, so if you’re going on about how bad America is, well.... But John McCain kept saying, “America is the greatest force for good on the planet” and how the American workforce and ingenuity can solve our problems (which I agree with!).
We’ll see what happens. Thank you for your post. :)
Is the question of whether McCain or Obama “won” really the relevant question tonight?
I think the real question is how many even bothered to watch. I sure didn’t.
They should scrap these and just put Biden and Sarah up for another round.
Obama is a socialist, a defeatist, a left wing liberal, and allied with America haters and racist like Wright and terrorists such as Ayres. He cannot win, his is not going to win.
Ya got me there. I cannot believe how close our country is to electing a Marxist for President.
On Cspan Oevielbambi is still working the croud. Lots of pictures with undecided voters.
I’ll say it again. Where do they dig up these brain doner “undecded” voters? If you are undecided at this point you have either been on drugs the last two years or were abducted by aliens.
Honestly, I don’t think the debate changed ANYONEDS mind.
CLASSIC!!!
So the undecideds want health care brought to them by the same people who brought them fannie and freddie?

Tell me more!
“Sounds like McCain didn’t talk about Ayers or Fannie Mae. Damn.”
McCain hit Fannie&Freddy, but not Ayers. Although he did say something about Obama’s cronies. I’ll bet he was advised not to “go negative,” which is BS since Obama is as negative as any presidential candidate in history. It just so happens that he constantly attacks a guy who isn’t running.
McCain did point out Fannie Mae and how BO was the second largest Fannie porker.
