While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.
The One spent the past two days preparing to defend against the aforementioned attack instead of prepping to go on offense.
Maybe he’s trying to leave the dirty work to her, maybe he’s got overconfident again with the slight shift in polls, maybe they just see the town hall format as tough to get tough in, but he’s got to come hard on his economic message AND Obama’s loony leftism—and not let Obama get away with his 95% tax cut BS!

Besides, we all know that Obama is going to be declared the winner tonight. In fact, I don’t even know why McCain needs to show up.

They seem to have mounted a rather weak defense within the past few days- but is it too little, too late?
McCain should have been out there hitting Obama hard every day. There are just so many atrocious things about Obama that he could bring out.
Why is he not mentioning such things as Obama trying to turn Missouri into a police state? Obama trying to turn our children into ‘Hitler youth’- and dozens of other things?

By the way, regarding that beautiful eagle graphic: Neither of these guys has a clue about what's needed to restore and preserve the Union or the Constitution. Most of the argument is over which one is the more effective and experienced socialist.
Of course, John McCain wins that debate hands-down.
John needs to rip Hussien open with facts such as his taxation on seniors being taxed 28% on their home sale, end of Bush tax cuts, tax increases across the board. Slice him/dice him with the truth that exposes the Marxist, empty suit thug that he is.

McCain has to win this crowd and he won’t do that going wholly negative. Unfortunately, William Ayres could be Barney Fife as far as most Americans are concerned. He’s a college professor who was never prosecuted and who cavorts with a ton of Republicans in Chicago. He lives openly in Chicago as a free member of society. He’s written a mess of books on education of late and gotten tens of millions in grants from big nonprofit foundations. Americans have a hard time in 30 second sound bites to tell the difference between that William Ayres and the terrorist of 30 years ago..
If Sinclair did one of those hour-long documentaries like it did for the Swift Boaters in ‘04, then we’d have some penetration of the truth into the American psyche.
