PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE #2 LIVE THREAD
10/07/08

Posted on 10/07/2008 2:01:24 PM PDT by TornadoAlley3

While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

I thought what he said ws compelling, he referred to his time as a POW - which is something we will all be under Obama...

“McCain has a huge heart. He brought me to tears.”

You just put into words something I’ve been feeling every time I hear him speak. That’s it...he’s sincere and I think (hope and pray!) that people feel that.

John McCain did great tonite......like a real, incharge, serious statesman...

it was a delight to read thru the negative nancys once again..

I love FR but it didn't use to be full of wimps, whiners, and backstreet drivers....

it used to be "EAGLES UP"

but whatever....we certainly know who are the trolls and who are the agitators...

and I would love to know if these posters ever donate a cent to FR so they can spew their animosity, arrogance, or allegiance to hussein....

BTW....McCain and Sarah Palin WILL be elected....it might even be a landslide for them....

Yes.

The beginning of the debate seemed lame to me but as time progressed and McCain just kept reiterating “Who he is”

He got stringer and stronger.

Barama on the other hand was spinning and lying and just looked like he couldnt keep up with his own BS toward the end

There was no “I’ve got a bracelet, too” moment. But that comment didn’t have much effect. That inane comment didn’t get any play that I saw anywhere but on FR.

Remember this debate is not aimed at us. It’s aimed at the undecided.

Yep, and I have no idea how they're going to vote.

“It is beyond me why any political candidate would constantly remind the electorate that his mother collected food stamps. Why he thinks that is a selling point is lost on me.”

It’s a voting block I suppose. Did it seem to you that Obama was struggling? And he dropped more ‘g’s’ than Sarah ever did. He just seemed to ramble.

I thought that McCain finished strong. His closing remarks were great.

Obama babbled a lot and promised a lot of stuff. I thought he sounded like a just another politician.

Look just how Obama and Michelle are both out there shaking hands with everyone in the audience, where’d McCain go?
It’s all about him, all about Obama, makes me sick!

Had to parry and ripost...

Obamanazi is amazing. He has the answers. It's simple, if we just reduce our consumption of oil, we'll solve the Russian problem, the Iranian problem, and Isreal will be safe.

McCain, where are you? Obama's a sitting duck.

I can't hack it.

Somebody help me
