This is a message from the MSM to Obama: you little punk, we can make you, and we can break you.
All he has to do is see what they've been doing to President Bush for the last eight years for proof...and he won, in spite of them.
Supporting Obama is costing them way too much money and worse yet, their audience. People are bored and getting turned off. That's the death knell for the media. They need to throw Obama under the bus for ratings.
Maybe they're also starting to realize that if he gets in, he'll have the power to activate some arcane E.O. that allows him to take full control of the press. Socialism is great to the press, unless it's them who are being socialized...then it's oh, wait a minute, you didn't mean us!!
The top money in media are starting to wake up to what Obama means when he says "change." Even they can't afford him, in more ways than one.
