McCain's last chance.

Well folks, here we are. Crunch time. Team McCain trails with two minutes left in the game. He's banged up. His whole body badly beaten from the early years against Team Obama's friends. He did well with that unbelievable touchdown pass to Palin. Let's face it though, he may have sustained a concussion. His passes and play calling are off lately.

John, run a reverse and get the damn ball into Palin's hands! She is the ONLY thing keeping this game close. Besides being able to catch very well, she has great legs. Perhaps a Statue of LIBERTY play where she throws the ball...to the American People.

Take all your money and make a 30 minute infomercial narrated by PALIN. Have a press conference at the National Press Club announcing it. Pass out the DVD's of it. Bring up all the points that for some reason YOU REFUSE to talk about. Go to the video tape. Obama, Biden, Ayers, Resko, Fannie Mae, Franks, Johnson, Mainstream media, all the others. You must let the average schmoe in on the Big Secrets the MSM are not telling them about..

I know Palin can look into that camera and explain all this well. You think that your opponents like and respect you. You don't seem to want to offend those "on the other side of the aisle". You are wrong, John. They despise everything about you. They despise the fact that you were a "tool" for the US Government fighting their compatriots in Vietnam. They hate all Republicans. Even you.

Why go around the country begging for votes? Save the gas. Any independent who would be willing to vote for Team McCain owns a TV. Bring the message to their homes. Thirty second clips aren't cutting it.

Best of luck on you're endeavor, John. America's freedom rests on the decisions you make from now until the election.

I wouldn't want that kind of pressure.

Are they behind by a field goal or touchdown?

The rev. Wright tapes helped Hillary crush Hussein in both PA and Ohio. If the republicans want to play nice, we’ll see some guy named Hussein living in the White House for the next 4 - 8 years.

BTW, I am sure Obama at least knew that his church taught Black Liberation Theology. Is that what he believes? Why is no one asking?

McCain does well as an underdog but this time he doesn’t seem to have it in him to fight back. I hope he gets back on his feet by Tuesday night.

I am furious that McCain and company does not start a multimillion ad campaign laying the whole bailout issue at the feet of the Dems and show Obama’s link to it all. He will survive what ever they say in return...they need to do this and do it daily until we vote. Our economy is a train wreck of sorts because of their “Anything for illegals and the poor so we can get their vote” ethic.

I resent the left...and I always will. With my money and our nations wealth they prop up dictators, sow the seeds of hatered against our nation, and pay those who lay around and complain.

Agree 100%.

It’s been clear since the convention, John McCain’s poll numbers are directly proportional — to how much Sarah Palin is representing the ticket.

When John McCain is out front and center saying “my friends”, his poll numbers fall.

When Sarah Palin is winning hearts and minds, his poll number rise, and people start using words like “Reaganesque”.

Couldn’t be clearer. Why doesn’t he get that? Is his ego that big? He actually thinks he’s the one people support?

McCain should wake up, and get Palin OUT FRONT.

Then perhaps John can take a one-month vacation. ;)

Why would you think that the Obama campaign hasn’t already prepared devastating rebuttal to any such thing?

More than that. The current electoral map has eight states in contention; McCain has to run the board, Obama just needs any one of them.

It’s that “new tone in Washington” thing and “reaching across the aisle” to “get things done” he’s doing.

McCain is a piss poor candidate.

McCain has to stop demoralizing the base....

...saying that he is going to appoint democrats to the cabinet, and inviting Algore as an advisor on energy..

..I was speechless...

....and Rush was speechless....probably the first time in 20 years that I can remember he absolutely had no explaination.....

I’m not so sure that we are behind by very much if at all but on the other hand if McCain wants to mention tapping Al Gore for any position then he’s is vastly hindering himself by being just plain stupid.

I am beginning to believe that too many people think Obama is going to win and have written off McCain. The only reason McCain is doing well at all is because of Sarah. McCain has had so many chances to put this thing away and he has blown it. Look out people we may just become another Sweden.

SARAH PALIN: Energizes the base.

SARAH PALIN: Wows independents.

SARAH PALIN: Is the single most charismatic American politician in at least a generation.

SARAH PALIN: Is everything, John McCain is (trying) to be.

SARAH PALIN: Is the key! Get out of her way John McCain.

Thats right. If the Democrats have all the answers, why do the voters need McCain?

McCain is still recovering from his BAILOUT broken play.

See, his offensive director called the old, standard play—find a dispute, appoint himself middleman and the person who would bring the conservative base to reason, show up, and the MSM would hail him as politically correct Republican.

But the game has changed. He should have first realized this when John Kerry viciously backstabbed him despite McCain sticking up for Kerry against the Swift Boaters in ‘04. The Democrats sabotaged that meeting with the doofus Bush about the bailout and went in with a plan to declare Obama the healer and reasonable one. Which they put into play minutes after the meeting, MSM going along.

McCain looked like a tired, extirpated non-entity. Obama got a bump, but cooled, luckily, because branding himself as the leader of the bailout wasn’t so popular after all. McCain wasted another opportunity to separate himself from Bush on the bailout, at least question it openly, but failed, failed, failed.

He’s running an ineffectual ad about himself being for reform of Fannie, but people remember the bailout, not 2003. His ad is unimaginative, the usual dark shadowing and emphasis on images of black people to supposedly scare white people. He won’t highlight the Senators who are worse problems, because they’re his “friends”, he thinks.

He’s getting old. By another stroke of great luck, so is Obama. Worst choices for President ever to follow Bush II, the worst president ever.

You’re right, put in Palin.

And there lies the problem. There is so much to attack Obama on and McCain has just wimped out. But more important than that is,do the American people really want Obama for president? God help us.
