I moved to Reno, NV in 2001...after living in Los Angeles for 14 years.....and one thing I have been impressed with is that judges and jurors put the criminals in jail here! LOL!

In fact, I was robbed at gunpoint outside my home 11-11-07 and by 6/08, the judge put one of the perps in jail for 16 years. (Other perp put away for 11/2 years 3/08) Apparently, he and his buddy went on after holding us up and shooting a bullet into our car with us in it....and carjacked some poor lady! The Judge is up for re-election and I have been telling everyone to re-elect him. ;)
