Luntz's focus group evenly split between Republicans and Democrats Kerry and Bush supporters. Palin BLEW THIS OUT OF THE PARK!

If Luntz' focus group is any indication of how well she connected she hit a home run. Wish networks had the ability to have a fact check monitor set up during these debates to watch the pendulum swing whenever any pol speaks. It would have malfunctioned with all the BS Joe spewed.

You are right.... Biden lied more tonight than I have ever seen by anyone in a Pres/VP debate. I thought how can he get away with no just “nuance”, but blatant lying? (I know the MSM will cover for him.)

Can’t wait to see the ratings numbers for this debate. I bet 75 million viewers. Thursday night is the prime time night for TV viewing; that is why so many high profile shows vie for Thursday night slots.

I am surprised about those feel-good-o-meters....people seem to make up their minds right away. Earlier this week, Luntz showed Obama’s and McCain’s appearance on “The View.” The panel, of course, was tough on McCain and easy on Obama. Obama’s performance began with a stupid joke or two — which offended both Democrats and Republicans. I guess I’m unusual — I will cut a candidate some slack if he starts with a stupid joke — however if it doesn’t improve then I will turn against him.

But for Palin — I don’t think she hit it out of the park. Joe made his points, she made hers, I would say she won on points but it wasn’t a knockout.

A couple of things — Whatever Obama’s warnings about Fannie and Freddie were, his client ACORN lobbied for lower loan standards. She didn’t really hit that point.

The other thing was Biden’s attack on Robert Bork. I recall, several years after Kennedy’s confirmation, Bork being asked about Kennedy. He said the only (major?) case he would have ruled differently on was the flag burning case. Now in his later years, Kennedy has crept leftward so Bork’s differences would have grown more numerous. However I recall Biden supporting a federal statute that had weaker legs than the state statutes which had been (wrongly) declared unconstitutional. She might also have gone on about Kelo or citing foreign law...

This “is she qualified” question is ridiculous. A lot of “qualified” people have run this country into the ground. They are called liberals and virtually every crisis we are in can be attributed to them.

CONSERVATIVES, educate your kids and then send them to journalism school or persuade them to become teachers. The hands that are rocking the cradle are being coddled by the government and are growing in dependence on the government. We must return truth to media and education.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I believe they all called themselves Independents but half had voted Democrat and Half Republican in the last election.

Am I the only one who thought biden almost lost it on national tv? Not one pundit has even mentioned this near muskie moment

No, you're right. He nearly had a meltdown when towards the end of the debate he talked about being a single parent. As much as I hate the dimwits, I can't really fault him for having some emotion.... and suffice it to say, he did recover. In any case, you can bet if it had been a brief moment of emotion for Gov Sarah Palin, the left-wing crazies AND partisan media would have been screaming & chortling to no end.

Bottom line is.... GOV SARAH PALIN DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB, especially with all the pressure on her. In looking at ol' Joe Biden's reaction & facial expressions even as he was talking, it was easy to see unbelieveable tenseness & strain in his facial muscles. Gov Sarah Palin MORE THAN handled her own and did exceptionally well tonight!!!

I will say, I was praying for Sarah Palin before, during & after the debate, that God would give her exceptional poise, clarity of thoughts & speaking with truth & conviction. And I thanked God afterwards, because I believe he answered those prayers!!!

Go Sarah!!!

“when he was talking about being a single parent, I thought he was about to cry. I’m not sure whether this was genuine or whether it was a pre-planned stunt. It did not come across well. We don’t want the Veep to be a cry-baby.”

Sorry, I don’t care for liberal moonbats like Biden, but I don’t think that was fake.

SarahCuda clearly won and Biden told several lies but I saw that as genuine.

Whoever’s been booking her with Gibson and Couric and power-cramming her head with talking points needs to be fired from McCain’s campaign - they’ve wasted her for the last month.

No - they set them up the bomb. Now the Volkischer Beobachter Media has to eat dog-poop.

Glad he got a proper focus group for this one. The McCain/Obama debate one was a bunch of loons who all though Obama won.

That is why that one guy in the panel was disturbed by her positive attitude.

A member of The Leader Obama's choir, no doubt. May they choke on their own bile.

In a perfect world, Governor Palin would have pelted Plugs with the Fannie / Freddie scandal and used the term “follow the money”. And we know the money leads to the Rats nest.

I know it's not a perfect world but I want the Republican ticket to pull that arrow out of the quiver. I am sick of Wall Street getting all the blame for purchasing Bundled Financial Crap from Fannie and Freddie.

There is some blame on Wall Street, but the Gubmint started all this BS with the CRE. I was working for a very large Bank at the time. We immediately put aside 10 Billion to cover the scam.

Everybody knew it was BS, but we looked at it as great PR and it was considered the cost of doing business. I just love Gubmint coercion, don't you?

I thought those numbers were pretty good for Sarah considering they were polling their own staff.

“60 minutes in, Biden lost his energy. I think he realized that he was losing. 20 minutes later, when he was talking about being a single parent, I thought he was about to cry.”

The indication to me that Biden KNEW he was losing the debate was when he appeared to lose his temper when attacking McCain for “not being a maverick”. That wasn’t passion.....that was anger.
