Well, I stubbed my baby toe last night and it really hurts, may have broken it. But, you don’t see ME in a wheechair....:o) You certainly have my sympathy. About this time of year in 2001 or so- I ran into a darkened room in my stocking feet to answer the telephone. My right 'baby toe' struck an open flatbed paper cutter that I'd left open on the floor. After the impact, I stood there like a stork- unable to utter a single sound- as the front of my sock turned red. Eventually, I screwed up the courage to take the sock off and look at it. The front of the toe was cleaved open and the nail lifted at a 45 degree angle. I cleaned it out and taped it shut in lieu of taking a trip to the hospital.
All ended well, but I have a special horror now of injuries to that area of the body.
