And at DU they all thought Biden not only WON but gave the debate of his life and probably several others.
It made me realize how split and partisan our country is. Liberals are living in a bizzaro world, an alternate reality, and they are SURE we are as well. We think they are wrong and they think we are evil.
I’m loving it so far..
Palin is great.
I’m loving the screen shots of Biden too. Gotta love the guy, he’s damn funny.. STAND UP CHUCK...
Ooh ... I thought this was the
last round.
Well, God continue to keep you
under His wing, and all our
awesome military, contractors
and allies.
Sarah’s so real, isn’t she?
She has that rare ability to having you laughing while she slips the knife into your heart. Very quick wit/mind. She ain’t no dummy.
Pray for W, McCain and Our Troops
I happen to agree with you for the most part. However, you must also remember that through no real fault of their own, the majority of Americans do still receive their news (what little they do hear) through their local nightly news, and perhaps through their local newspapers. Hardly what one would consider, fair, balanced, and informative.
While this is changing - particularly among the younger generations who are web savvy. We are not quite at the point where the average American uses the internet to get their news, and among those who do, I would hazard a guess that most of them still go to the MSM outlets online (CNN, MSNBC, Yahoo! and the like). You also need to remember that a lot of people have jobs that demand a lot of their time, and when they get home from work I would imagine they are looking forward to de-stressing and relaxing vs. researching a whole bunch of political issues...
I honestly don’t think that this will change in a HUGE way anytime soon. I’m pretty sure that if you go back through history you will find - just as there are those who are into music, or into art, or any other area of study - there are only a certain percentage of people that are really interested in politics, or see themselves as having some important role besides showing up and casting a vote on the appointed day.
If we wish for this to change, I believe we need to start helping our friends and family become more educated first. Then we can worry about the rest of those for whom many of these things may cause them to either “tune out”, or believe that it is “above them” to understand.
All, JMHO! :)
Sorry, not ready to go and see Kervorkian. Guess that you have made your appointment already?
Ya’ gotta love her!
I relooked at your profile page. Man alive, are you the brave one!
Ron, I had to listen to most of it in the car but it was good — you will enjoy it. She holds her own. No gaffes. A few “missed opportunities” like about the bailout, but I actually think she’d been told by McCain not to go there (instead of only blaming Wall Street Greed, she could have explained and blamed Democrat greed, but alas, the McCain campaign won’t do it for some reason).
All in all, she did very well and blew away all the media low expectations. Sadly the Dems think Biden won. He did not gaffe but you can see that research on FR already has caught him in 10+ untruths. He threw out “facts” like they were grains of rice at a wedding, and I was wondering if they all were kosher or not.
You going to the rally on Saturday to see her??
She is a hideous woman. From the inside out.
That is just impressive, isn’t it, to hear that from CNN?
I'll admit I was a little nervous about this, but Sarah is awesome!
I just now got coffee made. Now I can really focus. LOL
I think that I will tomorrow.
I just watched BOR smack barney.
barney frank was not very “frank” with BOR.
Bor said that barney wasn’t “man enough”. I’d say that hit barney below the belt. :)
Thank you for your analysis. I will take the suggestion of another poster and watch it tomorrow.
Glad you posted the Colmes slapdown. WOW. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy! LOL.
I think Dick Morris is on his game lately. I too thought that all but for a brief time in the latter part of the Presidential debate, Obama got the better of McCain (in terms of the average American viewer who had no reason to know that some of what Obama said was not accurate). And I too think Palin creamed Biden tonight.
I’ll keep my “eye” on that tomorrow when I watch it. :)
LOL - more like not quite right in the head.
I was here during the very scary days, but it's not like that anymore. It's much more peaceful and the rebuild is going full-steam ahead. The streets, markets, cafes, and shops are all bustling now and the Iraqis are traveling around the country to visit relatives for Eid this year...
And the sky is a beautiful shade of blue this morning. Fall is now upon us and I don't miss the 120-degree temps we had a month ago at all. :)
Saw the replay of the debate, still on Fox, he said Joey DANKO, close to Stanko, so still could be fictitious...
sometimes yes, she seemed to finish, but about two times the moderator cut her off..but never really cut Biden off with his grandstanding..
Yep, it just ended and Sarah is a class act.
