I doubt I’ll watch it. I get way too nervous.
Fasting & Praying. Not sure if I’ll watch on the net, or not.
LOL. Or, like the guy at the Irish pub told Sarah on the night of the McCain/Obama debate - “field dress the d__n Donkey!”
Me too! I have a peace about this election! You see, WE WIN!
Exactly right. She should happily present her views candidly even if they differ from McCain (especially if they differ) and discuss her general political philosphy which is small government except for a strong defense:
She should focus on Obama, not Biden. She should ask the questions about Obama that the MSM refuses to do and open a few eyes.
Personally she destroys Biden if she is herself. I am certain she will do great.
Also, this is a small anecdote I live in People’s Rep of Cambridge and was taking a taxi home the night of Palin’s convention speech. The taxi driver, a black immigrant from Africa was watching the speech in his cab and exclaiming more than once “She is great”! in a thick accent.
She connects.
You would think she’s the one with special needs to listen to them. Disgusting Mr. Tingle leg and Joe “there’s a dead woman in my office” yuckin” it up. They are almost breathless. Sorry, that’s all I can tell you, I had to change the channel.
I’m sick of this attack on Palin’s experience. If she does one thing tonight she needs to turn that around on Obama.
One of her biggest applause lines at the convention was her attack on community organizing. She needs to hit that hard tonight.
Here are a few more talking points:
Hussein Obama
Wright
Rezko
Pfleger
Ayers
Dohrn
Johnson
Rains
Goerelick
Pritzker
Community Organizing
Black Liberation Theology
Marxism
ACORN
Hamas
Hezbollah
Redistribution of Wealth
The media
Infanticide
And of course, Michelle
AMEN!
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
I’m betting Biden will have had a few belts before he goes on stage.
I’m so nervous. I love Palin, but I fear she has too many opponents in the debate. She could crush Biden, and according to the MSM she would lose.
I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think things look good.
At least I can FReep with confidence, knowing I’ll be amongst REASONABLE company to discuss the debate before I hear the MSM sing Biden’s praises. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
There’s one key thing that worries me about tonight’s debate. And that’s Palin’s response to a “bailout” question.
I assume she’ll say it sucks, give credit to McCain and the House GOP for their convictions, but then say something had to be done. At the same time, I think she’ll go on to elaborate how this ugly bill came to be and name the names and individuals who caused this “crisis” to begin with, and give credit to McCain for his proposals in 2004 for greater regulation on Fannie/Freddie and link it to Obama.
My question, is this a good enough answer for those opposed to the bailout?
Thank-you.
Rich Lowry posted this on NRO a few minutes ago:
Convention Speech Squared
If Palin's impressive tonight, the effect will be like the convention speech, but even more sosince the stakes are even higher and the expectations lower. If she's just aggressive, after the defensive crouch during much of the network TV interviews, she'll do herself a lot of good.
Sounds good to me! Think of it this way - the potential upside is very great, the potential downside very small.
LOL. Wouldn’t that be a hoot?!
I just pinged you to this
Where Two Or Three Are Gathered In His Name
Communal prayers will be going up until after the spin cycle following the debate.
ALL denominations are welcome.
Blogger has THIS THREAD up with select FReepers volunteering to keep the prayer chain going.
This Thread Has Included Sarah.
I imagine there are more threads going if you do a keyword search on "pray" or "prayer".
If you say so. I've always been a fan of quality over quantity. In this case, there were 4+ hours prior to the debate to post meaningful information.
