Okay, folks. Let's keep an eye on this debate and see if Sarah can beat down hairplug.
Why is Biden always getting the last word.
O’Biden is coming off as angry. What a scowl on that beady-eyed face.
Drudge has a poll on the right column,,Sarah is winning,,,
go vote
Gee, can I get the principle on our mortgage adjusted? I’d settle for a tax cut.
Enough with kissing up to Israel already! It’s NOT a winning message to most Americans.... Jeez
“I thought so too. Obama is for gay marriage. Isnt he pretty open about that?”
Yes he is and the black Christian community opposes Obama because of it.
(Vision, your post came earlier in the thread but my post never posted).
She jumps, She shoot, She scores!!!!
Ifill is not giving Palin a chance to respond to Biden's lies. It seems that Biden keeps hammering on McCain and Palin doesn't seem to be calling him a liar on what he's saying about McCain.
Palin has been set up. Ifill is throwing softballs at Biden and fastballs to Palin. Biden had to be given the questions ahead of time, there's no doubt. Palin has been setup to fail.
Yes, and the fact that Biden is being allowed to engage in this long winded bloated dialogues means that Sarah Palin is being given less time to speak, and I don’t think that is by accident.
Joe is making a lot of claims that I think are lies about McCain’s voting record and other things.
Good response to counter his commanding general claims.
That’s not a sufficient reason not to mention it: pointing out who’s to blame isn’t ruled out by having participated in (a wrong-headed) effort to clean up the mess.
I’m appalled that neither of our folks have pinned that tail on the donkeys where it belongs.
She needed to attack Obama hard, and she has so far totally failed to do that. Biden has thrown several high, hanging curve-balls and she has completely whiffed on them.
Just one recent example, Biden repeated his gaffe from last week where he claims Bush recently sent a high official to Europe to meet with iran. That did not happen. And sending intermediaries to talk is neither a new policy nor is it at all what Obama has advocated. He has promised to personally meet, without precondition, with people like Ahmadinijad. She did not hammer him on that.
My bigger problem is the first few topics, though, where she was clearly sent to carry an awful message - me-too liberal republicanism denouncing the rich and calling for more regulation.
“Joe, WHAT ARE YOUR SOLUTIONS in the Middle East?”
And Sarah says... Embassy in Jerusalem.
I fall at her feet — those words are my Rosh Hoshannah gift!
General David McKiernan, commander of NATO Forces in Afghanistan met with the President yesterday and the General recommended a surge in that country and Presidnt Bush approved.
Let me say that again, Joe--you LIED!
Did Biden just say “Bosniacs” instead of Bosnians?
I agree. Just a month ago, Sarah was up in Alaska with probably no clue she’d be on the national ticket. Here she is tonight, with barely a month preparation, kicking Joe Biden’s butt. Imagine how good she’ll be after four years as our vice-president!
Um, hey, don’t shout at me. I know what her job is.
Until the Iran/Pakistan question Sarah wasn’t hitting her stride. She’s getting there now. Talking more slowly, smiling less and looking peeved off. I like that.
But Biden is hammering McCain. And I’m trying to look at this debate not through the eyes of a McCain/Palin supporter, just to see who is coming off as more confident. Don’t blame me if Biden is looking more relaxed. I want Sarah to be mad and serious and put Biden away.
