This is alot like Election 2000, McCain is better served concetrating on the Mtn West and NH then the Upper Midwest and PA.

Putting all of one's eggs in the Colorado basket is not a smart move, says I.

I wonder what the McCain state polls say. I'm sure that's what's driving their decisions.

Obviously to win McCain has to get the national race close to parity. We'll see.

Didn’t you post this same comment on a different thread? I think you did. What’s your motive?

You know exactly what the KittyOwner's motive is. :-)

Michigan has a heavy Muslim presence

That is the greatest myth about this state on FR.

Yeah, but you won’t see him there after that. No need now. In fact I’d be suprised if he doesn’t say something like “John McCain has abandoned Michigan, but I won’t!!”

Wow! Well I overheard two anonymous staffers AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN talking and they said Obama is conceding the race to John McCain...

If you think I’m an Obama supporter, get me banned. You would be wrong, but go ahead and do it if it makes you feel better.

Maybe he is just “suspending” his campaign in Michigan? Is it too late to have Romney replace this dud?

Romney would be losing by 15 or 20. Get real.

I looked at Jonathan Martin’s other ‘journalism’

Not impressed.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1008/14200.html

I smell disinformation - every news cycle another news troll pops up and does their 15 minutes of fame (something bad about McCain or Palin) then waddles off into obscurity. Today Martin, tomorrow someone else. Always feeding the news machine.

The man is pathetic.

Of course he is, that is why the Republican party, controlled by the globalists put him up for office.

Stop the convoluted posts already. This has nothing to do with defeatism. It has everything to do with political reality.

We've got a month to go in this campaign. That isn't much time for the McCain-Palin to take the gloves off and go after Obama-Biden on the ONE issue that can get the GOP ticket a victory. That issue is, ideology. So far most everything in the McCain strategy has been unsuccessful. The bipartisanship effort has gone absolutely nowhere. The McCain campaign has to attack the liberalism of Obama-Biden. Otherwise, they'll lose.

Right now Obama-Biden is ahead of McCain-Palin by 5% in the Gallup daily tracking poll and 7% in the Rasmussen daily tracking poll. The debate tonight and the other two McCain/Obama debates will be crucial to who can gain momentum and hold onto it.

If McCain-Palin don't step up to the challenge, its over.

I would not base any moves on some of these polls. McCain needs to be very careful who is doing his polling. He may have signed on some agency that is inherently leftist without knowing it. If Michigan was a four point game last week, it’s unthinkable to write it off just a week later.
