Reading FR over the past 48 hours or so has been downright depressing. Yesterday I found myself snapping at my children for no other reason than my negative state of mind. The election is still a month away. I don't believe that all is lost. Polls are being manipulated and so are we!
So, what GOOD news have you heard lately? What is going on in your part of the country that gives you hope that McCain will win? What positive anecdotes can you share with all of us? Post it here. We could all use the encouragement.
“I’m hearing more and more people openly admit Obama scares the holy bajeezus out of them.”
“I think we’ll see a lot of the Bradley effect when the polls close. Not necessarily because of race, but because he even out-liberals most liberals. And his associations with black extremists will turn off many independents.”
Well, look at the alternative, if you say you are going to vote for McCain, you will have the obamanites in your face.
That cant be good. Good news is Sarah’s on our team.
Liberals always reassure me that I'm on the right side.
My brother is 58 and has always been a bit apathetic about politics but conservative. He has never voted. Last night he came over just to show me his brand new VOTER REGISTRATION CARD. He even signed on as a volunteer at the McCain/Palin headquarters right around the corner from him. He’s retired so he can be there anytime.
“Good News”
What’s that?
If it’s good, it’s not news.
Journalism 101.
Geeeze, some people are.......
Friends that traditionally vote Democrat are voting for McCain because they say Obama is just plain evil.
My sister’s family moved to Burke, Va. McCain gets 2 more votes.
GOod news.
Money leaving the U.S. being sent to Mexico was dropped 12% in the last year.
I live near one of these money exchange centers — and I have definitely noticed that they are not as busy as in prior months, years.
Everytime I pass this place, I can see in my mind’s eye — thousands of dollar-signs going out the roof on its way south of the border.
There isn’t one to be had in the city that I know of. I ordered mine from the McCain website. All they have here are Obama’s.
That’s what I’m sayin’, babies!
Good news is I’ve been in the Outer Banks for 5 days and missed out on the depression!
I forgot what it’s like to only hear snippets of the race...like undecideds (spent some time with them there). I think they will watch tonight, then the other debates (since nothing else is on TV), read the sports section and then probably vote. The rest of it hardly breaks through except the how much the DOW lost. However, many of their minds will probably be made up when they are in the booth.
Good news is what?....We have a friend who helps out with the phone polls to calls any one about supporting Palin/McCain. Every one that they talked to any woman that answers the phone that they are very excited and talks very postive of Palin. They love her !!!!

In a few days we’ll see the polls that factor in the Dear Leader video.
Good news? I’m alive, feel good, and expect to for decades to come. If not for our amazing medical system, I wouldn’t be in somewhere between a few weeks and a few years. Less than two months after heart surgery and I feel great.
