Reading FR over the past 48 hours or so has been downright depressing. Yesterday I found myself snapping at my children for no other reason than my negative state of mind. The election is still a month away. I don't believe that all is lost. Polls are being manipulated and so are we!
So, what GOOD news have you heard lately? What is going on in your part of the country that gives you hope that McCain will win? What positive anecdotes can you share with all of us? Post it here. We could all use the encouragement.

Watch the video at the link, understand the enemy.
First battle, Defeat Obama, next we fight McCain.
Next we fight the RINO’S who still run our party, these RINO’S either nominated RINO’s and/or even REFUSED to run candidates in the House and Senate in COMPETITIVE and even RED districts.
One battle at a time, we at least will have a seat at the table with McCain, he probably only will serve one term.

There is one guy in my neighborhood with an Obama sign. No one likes him because he doesn't take care of his property at all and causes everyone else to have dandelions. I'd be willing to bet him having that sign caused a few fence sitters to decide to vote for McCain/Palin.

It's in the high 40's here in Central NY State, and many of the trees are already bare.

These aren't really good news, but who can be depressed when they see a beer drinking squirrel and dancing pandas?

“i need one of those buttons. where do you get them in the city?”
I bought mine from a street vendor at 28th Street and 7th Ave.

OK, I own a business that has been in the red for the last two years. I just received approval today for a $300,000 working capital loan. My collateral? Commercial real estate. The loan is coming from a small local bank that just wrote off a year's worth of profits due to (mark to market) Fannie Mae stock they owned.
Credit flows have not stopped, folks. The media and the Dem party have the most to gain from scaring us, and that's what they're attempting to do.

Most of us that have been involved with Presidential politics have never seen anything like it. Since the Convention, the enthusiasm is growing around the Country with number of people at events, etc. in spit of the media and polls which anyone around politics knows are junk!It seriously reminds me of 2004. The media was terribly in the tank for Kerry, and all anyone ever wanted to talk about was the increased Dem turnout (which did indeed occur) due to anti-Bush feelings. Unfortunately the Dems were swamped by a tidal wave of broken-glass conservatives just itching to send Kerry packing and flip the bird to the media.
I see the same thing in play in 2008.
Everywhere except here on Free Republic, of course. [smacking forehead] Here the lemmings are diving headfirst into the sea of sorrow.

The good news is that while campaigning in Michigan today he sounded like an untrustworthy, evil puke.
I heard him on the radio.

Not only is He risen, but He’s also in control. I rather lose some of my retirement, than lose Him as my Savior and friend.

An SUV parked in front of my house this AM, it had an Obama sticker in back, but I couldn't make out what it was. Went out and read it: Obama = Ocrap it didn't spell crap though. Just reading that brightened my day almost as much as if I actually saw it!
In other good news, pre-election voting (fraud) turnout here in Ohio is much lower than expected.

If you set up a web camera on your computer and open up a Skype account, we can snap at your children for you. ;-)
