We FReepers and other conservatives were idiots. We thought that McCain somehow saw the light. We thought that Palin could bring him to the right a bit.

He has ruined a likable, intelligent "pit bull with lipstick" and turned her into a pile of jello that can only spew McLame talking points. Even with a friendly audience: I read her interview with Hugh Hewitt yesterday and then heard her interview with Hannity. Same exact talking points...down to the same words. She's not the same woman who performed in the 2006 Alaska gubernatorial debates. Not the same woman at the convention. She sounded like a McRobot.

I am unimpressed and disgusted. Moreso at myself for being naive enough to think that McLame would actually do the right thing.

Prove me wrong, John...

Voting anti-Obama.

I’m tired of the doom and gloom, but it seems to happen in every campaign nowadays.

Man this place is depressing. How anybody could vote third party in an election with a Marxist who wants to silence all voiced of descent and will likey have state run tv if he wins is beyond me.

Do you guys like Savage, Hannity or Rush. If this guy wins they may not be around long.

Listen - no offense but some of us are still working hard for the campaign. If you people want to abandon ship go ahead but don’t try to bring the ship down with you.

Go elsewhere and spread your doom and gloom...

I think the media is working overtime to convince itself, and the American people, that Sarah Palin is a backwoods rube who doesn't know nuthin' but huntin', praisin' the Lord, and birthin' babies. They are having a tough time because Palin hasn't really screwed up "big time" in any of her very few interviews. Sure, she hesitated a bit and said, "I'll have to get back to you on that," but that's not as serious as they are trying to make us all believe.

The MSM's job the past few weeks has been to knock Sarah Palin down a few pegs in the voters' eyes so that we will all be looking at her tonight with a microscope as she debates Joe Biden. If she hesitates one second, or stumbles even a wee bit on pronunciation of a name, they will say, "See, America! We warned you. She is not vice presidential material."

Her job as vice president is to wait for the president to die (sorry, it's true) and step into that position in the event that the president does die. Oh sure, she will have some tasks as VP, as they all have had. But tonight we are looking at her to learn her dedication to core beliefs, her values, her stability in a crisis, her ability to understand complicated issues and her decision making skills.

The MSM is using this as an audition, and so are we; but we have to remember what our checklist is, because it's certainly not the same as the MSM's.

They want a misspeak, a mispronunciation, a bitchy comment, anything to replay over and over on their nightly news to take our attention away from the more important issues I mentioned above. We want a strong person, with a strong, conservative value set. If she can pronounce every tin-pot dictators' names with perfect inflection, OK, that's fine; but that's not the determining factor for leadership.

I hope she kicks their asses tonight.

The Bush Dynasty GOP is a party elite that refuses to fight, because deep down they actually believe liberals are correct. They strive not to win, but to appear “bipartisan” so they can get the “lovable loser” label from the liberal media, just like Bob Dole.

Palin has more sense and loyalty than 75% of the goons representing you in Congress.

They took an outsider and have now taught her to act like an insider. She is not the same person she was, she is going to absolutely bomb tonight as well, mark my words.

This forum at times runs on the issue/rumor of the moment..... Sometimes several different ones per day and each time there are those that state this is the last straw as if that straw was more important than the overall concept of governance.

In our scheme of government we will either have Obama or McCain as the next President. Our better chance at making major and long lasting changes in the course of this nation lies in changing the Congress.

If McCain causes us to lose this election because of his own stupidity and ignorance, he should immediately be drummed out of the Republican Party permanently and forever ostracized. Never again should his name be mentioned in anything other than a context of failure.

I think McCain is living up to his reputation of being unpredictable. It’s not worth handing the election to Obama. Geeez. Governor Palin could give some here a lesson in keeping things in perspective. This lady has be BBQ’d and flogged in the media since she was picked and she hasn’t given up. Good grief. So it’s uncomfortable right now,,,that’s MOSTLY because of the MEDIA coverage. The media tongues wag with outrageousness and the cameras only cover the loudest, most obnoxious groups. Thus the existence of the “silent” majority. The media has people believing if the cameras and MSM don’t mention you, you don’t exist. That’s total BS! Fight it!!! Remember what McCain said,

STAND UP!

STAND UP!

FIGHT!

Do NOT let the media defeat you or us!
