I’m ashamed to admit this, but I’d be willing to pay to sit through a Billy Joel concert in order to hear a Springsteen concert, as long as it was only songs from Nebraska, The River, and Born To Run.
Proud to say I never bought a Joel or Springsteen record . Before Bruce became famous , he played solo at my alma mater UConn , and was booed off the stage . Why ? He sucked .
I couldn’t sit through Springsteen even if the followup act was Sinatra rising from the dead to do “Night and Day” with the Basie orchestra.
