Summary of Obama's debate performance tonight: "I've got a bracelet, too."
PBS ^ | 9/26/2008 | PBS

Barack was the very junior senator on the defensive the entire evening.

After John McCain eloquently (and without notes) discussed the bracelet he wears given to him by the mom of a dead Iraq war vet.

Trying to prove his own support for the troops, Obama chimed in with a pathetic "I've got a bracelet, too," as he looked down at his notes to read the name of the soldier.

saying your president was plain right out of the daily KOs handbook

it was rude and disgusting and the media doesn’t say anyting about it as they will agree with him

mcCain should have told him that he is an American and Bush is his president regardlees of how you disagree with him

if the media actiually did their job obama would not even be the Dem nominee.

I still meet people who do not know about Ayers, that obama worked for ACRON infact many do not even know about ACRON

it reallt is sad that the media are not doing their job

now obama could be the first affirmative action, anti American , racist, president

Amazing ACORN manages to stay under the radar.

I agree with your post.

thanks a lot
ACRON , LA RAZA and the urban league needs to be made more of a point in this and if people find out the Dems are trying to get money to these groups then it’s end of for them

Did you watch the debate, or just the media spin afterward because McCain had The Chosen One on the defensive the whole time and made him look like a little kid trying to sit at the adult table.

The moderator also asked the candidates to discuss how they would “rule” the US.

Obama answered first.

As I waited to hear McCain’s answer, I was hoping McCain would have nonchalantly corrected him at the beginning of his answer: “Well, Jim, I want make an important distinction - presidents don’t rule, they lead. And I would...”

“Senator McCain is absolutely right, we cannot tolerate a nuclear Iran…”

Then, Obama, why was Israel told to get used to having a nuclear Iran?

Poll: Uncommitted See Obama as Most Like Them
by Scott Ott for ScrappleFace · 25 Comments
(2008-09-27) — In the wake of the first presidential debate between Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, a CBS news poll of uncommitted voters shows that those who can’t make up their minds find more in common with Sen. Obama.

“People tend to gravitate toward the candidate who seems most like them,” said an unnamed pollster at CBS. “And we’re starting to see a shift, at least a tentative one, among those who have difficulty making decisions. To the uncommitted, Obama looks like a fellow traveler.”

About 39 percent of the respondents in the CBS-Knowledge Networks poll, who remain undecided after nearly two years of presidential campaigning, said they thought Sen. Obama won the debate, compared with 24 percent who picked Sen. McCain as the winner, and 37 percent who just couldn’t decide.

“Obama hit the right notes for these people,” the pollster said. “The way he cocks his head to the side as if perplexed, his frequent interjection of non-verbal sounds, and his ability to speak for long stretches without definitively declaring what he believes…all of this appeals to the uncommitted.”

On the other hand, the lower percentage who thought Sen. McCain won reflects the fact that “the uncommitted just can’t relate to people who know what they believe and don’t hesitate to say it.”

“Of course,” the pollster added, “Sen. McCain could also benefit from the fact that uncommitted voters will spend most, if not all, of election day trying to decide whether to go to the polls.”

“I’ve got a bracelet, too,” —

Yeah, Hussein, and a necklace and earrings to match, I bet. Not to mention some silky lingerie and a few pairs of spiked heels in the back of your CLOSET!

The debate started slow. I was a little worried McCain was not going to go on the offensive. After a half hour McCain turned in to a freaking pit bull. He is scoring points left and right. Obama is on the defensive and sounding amazingly naive.”

Dittos on that exactly.
First round Obama won, then McCain caught fire and pummelled all night.
