I was sure Krauthammer saw a different debate than I. He said Obama was smooth, cool, sophisticated, blah blah blah. I saw him uh’ing, and making childish faces and interrupting, telling the moderator when he could continue. I thought Obama’s behavior was anything but presidential.
Best wishes for a good outcome! Your family is wonderful.. God bless...
The moonbats are out tonite. They don’t get any voters, they are just trying to keep from losing them. Their party is all about the in-crowd. The adults will hand them another defeat.
I deliberately skipped the exchange tonight. I think that was a wise choice.
McCain - 27%
Obama - 67%
Yes this was odd and he seemed to be aggravated. turning his head etc. I think his performance filed under, "Commander in Chief" wannabe. Let the people decide who is the real deal. Barry is slipping in polls in even the most liberal states. Even Zogby aknowledged, possible landslide.
Hey Spookie! I’m here.
Yeah.. McCain “won”.. It doesn’t matter who answered the questions better, it matters how the media presents it.
The polls will say that Obama won this and he will gain points by Wednesday at the latest.
Our guy came out short on this one.
Obama came off as strange, dark, irritable, interruptive.
And the “Pockiston” pronunciation came off as weird.
Just about fell off the couch from LOL when I heard that one.
Brit and Fred are so lost lately...it’s a shame. I used to race home for the Panel...I find myself turning them off every night. Retire already!
Thank you.
Here’s my analysis of the debate results from Intrade, comparing pre- and post-debate numbers. McCain won handily with a 6.7 poing swing in his favor on the individual contracts at high volume. But there’s one glitch in the Electoral Votes on the front page of Intrade. McCain lost some ground there. Perhaps it is one of those contracts that lags the more emotional President.Individual contracts.
New: McCain 227 Obama 311
Old: McCain 232 Obama 306 Change: +5 for Obama

I have to say that I really did not expect McCain to do very well tonight. But he really surprised me. I thought he did so much better than Obama. But He can never win the MSM. They already had decided who won the debate before the debate even happened. As I listen then they are just so unfairly critical of him. The MSM was always biased. But what I have seen from them in the last few days is just so much worse than before. They make up quotes from people...and change there words. They only present one side, and block the other. It is so obviously coordinated. I wish all Americans spent more time on the internet finding out the facts. It is the only place you can still find them.
I expect the Main stream polls to be extremely rigged as well. They will not allow McCain to come out ahead tonight is my guess.
As I recall, Kerry won all the debates as well. According to the Media.
Fox News gave Bush a tie in one of them.
What’s new? “Obama is ahead in the polls, so he didn’t hurt himself.”
“McCain needed to hit a home run, but he didn’t.”
“Obama looked energetic; McCain looked tired.”
It’s the same old media crap.
LOL! Be glad you missed it. He’s ridiculous.
I thought my glasses were dirty (I only wear them when I am on the computer, but take my word for it, I look super cute in them) so I washed them. Turns out it’s gunk in my eyes from allergies!! Grrr....
I am. Sounds like his writers wrote this script 3 days ago. There is some boy wearing lipstick commenting now about how angry McCain was.
I agree that there were points - especially in the early part of the debate - that McCain could’ve cleaned his clock, EASILY and let the opportunity pass.
However, with some of the stories and such. To us political junkies it may be old news, and repetitious. BUT, I think with your average American (who has not heard the stories) it showed that McCain has life experience, and that he was very comfortable sharing what he’s learned from those experiences. If he was able to connect to people with those stories, to make them invested emotionally (without using fear and propaganda) then that will translate well in the long run. JMHO
As I said, I agree that there were missed opportunities. However, Obama was contradicting and lying throughout the debate. If we can bring out those points using Obama’s own words against him, it will be a good thing... We’ve just got to take up the banner.
Seeing as McCain has had a very long week, I think he did very well. Obama was thrown off his game a LOT, looked angry, and interrupted numerous times. I guess it depends on what you’re looking at, and it depends on where you are coming from as a viewer (us political junkies have obviously heard a lot of this before but the average American has not).
All JMHO. I don’t think you’re completely wrong. I just think that McCain did better than what you post implies is all. :-)
Whoo hoo!
We freeped it!
