It’s grating on the nerves, this “John” ing that 0bama is doing. Hey JOHN. Call your opponent “Barack.” I'd love to hear McCain call him Barack.... but on the other hand, with congress's popularity in the tank, calling Obama "Senator" may do more damage. Obama may unwittingly be doing McCain a favor by not using the title.

I agree. I heard tonight how McCain had to NOT come across as angry or lose his temper. He’s doing well. Obama seems irritated.

There are some Obama people on this thread — doesn’t take a lot to find them! Anyone thinking Obama is cleaning McCain’s clock doesn’t have a clue.
I wouldn't go that far. Remember, this is more about people's perceptions than the substance of what is actually being said. Recall that when Nixon and JFK debated, people listening to the debate on the radio said Nixon won, while those who watched TV overwhelmingly said JFK won.
From what I see, McCain is clearly winning on substance. Obama is holding his own on style, and is being helped along by a sympathetic moderator.
