Just saw the disgusting ad that basically says McCain had melanoma so he is going to die any time now and demands the release of his medical records.
Note: he has released all of his medical records. Obama has not released any.

Morning .... mostly out this week helping my friend with her huge, challenging move ..oooogh.
Just caught the most despicable 527 anti-McCain ad on MSNBC .. all about MELANOMA and how deadly it is if there’s another occurrence.
There are no depths too scummy to traverse ..
Carry on .. God bless and save America!

Gingrich suggested it best:
CUT CAPITAL GAINS TAX TO ZERO!
-I want a sunset clause on this monstrosity THAT MUST BE VOTED INDEPENDENTLY of any other bills.

Good idea.
I would like to see a special sidebar or part of BREAKING that is reserved for LIVE threads. The thread titles could be removed soon after the event/topic ends.
Too many times a LIVE thread (that is not listed in the BREAKING news sidebar) gets lost as new threads are posted.

Andrea Mitchell, NBC, of course shows clips of David Letterman knocking McCain and Bush. If Letterman only knew how boring he is.

They keep calling Obama’s inability to answer a simple question as professorial.
My professors seemed to be able to address questions in a rather straightforward manner, but this is the line they are trying to sell.

Paul Ryan is on with Bill Bennett. This guy is so darn smart. I wish McCain would get together with him.

On my ride in I heard Imus ask Jeffrey Toobin about how lame our choices are for President and Toobin said, “This is the best 2 Americans we had running in our lifetime”.

From what I listened to Scarborough he sounded like he backed McCain's approach to this debate/no debate question.
FNFs is doing a good jobs being the anti-MSNBC. They showed parts of Letterman's hissy fit because McCain canceled. I never watch any of those late night shows anyways.

On my ride in I heard Imus ask Jeffrey Toobin about how lame our choices are for President... Couldn't agree more. That's especially bad for McCain because the Imus crew have been his butt boy for years.
and Toobin said, This is the best 2 Americans we had running in our lifetime.
Sure that wasn't Monica Lewisky talking. Ewww!

Dingy Harry, as usual, shot himself in the foot by yelling about wheres McCain and when McCain says here I come, Dingy says no, no, dont come here, youre making this political.
It does, however, appear to be grandstanding or showboating on McCain's part, considering that he hasn't been present enough this session to register.
Of course, all the Congressional wannabes were AWOL from their seats during their presidental runs.
It should be a law that any pol elected to a position must resign that postion before he/she can run for another elective position. They owe that to the voters. They can't do the job they were elected to while campaigning for another elective position.

Jeff Sessions let the cat out of the bag with the amnesty bill. They don't even read the bills they vote on. It's all up to their staff people.

Senator Lindsey Graham ... told [McCain]: you've ... to give these Republicans some political cover. If you don't do that, this whole bailout plan is going to fail. So that's how, McCain, apparently, became involved.
If McCain starts pushing this $700 Billion boondoggle, he could do irreparable damage to his presidential aspirations.
It would negate McCain's GOP debate quip: "Washington is broken; I can fix it." Fodder for Obama: What did you do in the last 25 years to fix this crisis?
Giving the outgoing Admin financial people a $700 Billion unrestricted blank check just 4 months before their exit is beyond ridiculous.
I want to see heads roll. I want to see the FBI frog-marching pols and financial execs in to jail.
Then, we can talk bail out. Until then, it is just more of the same pea-under-a-shell crap.

This is what I am seeing and hearing,
McCain’s step was brilliant because it showed form over substance. Even DEMOCRATS are calling it brilliant.
Bush then inviting Obama to the “meeting” was check and mate.
Now Obama has to sign off WITH whatever compromise is reached. Thus Obama is trapped. Obama is also exposed as a rank amature in adult politics by failing to see this manuver.
By stating he was still going to “make sacrifices at the temple, while there is a tiger at the gate”* he demonstrates a reality disconnect. (see Barakopolis)
For those in Rio Linda: Politicians are elected and PAID to do a job, they are not elected to run for re election to office.

Probably a good day to sleep in and not turn on the TV. I caught CNN’s John Robert's hair catch on fire last night when Sen. Richard Shelby told him “I'm not voting for the Paulson Plan or son of Paulson Plan”. Robert's couldn't believe it. “We had a deal, how did it fall through?”. Trouble was somebody had a premature congratulations.
Today will be huge day in history. I hope the republicans come out with a McCain Plan that the RATs have to swallow.
Will McCain make the debate tonight? Stay tuned I guess.
