God help me, but I agree with Obama here. The American people want to hear with the next President plans to do about this. This is McCain’s chance to shine and eliminate Obama’s one trump card, the economy.

This almost looks like he’s afraid of the debate.

Friday’s debate is about foreign policy, not the economy.

McCain saw this crisis coming a few years ago, all was blocked by the Dems. That’s the only thing he needs to say in the economic debate. It’s an unspinnable fact. He saw the surge working. That’s all he needs to say on Friday’s debate.

Obama HAS no trump card.

“God help me, but I agree with Obama here. The American people want to hear with the next President plans to do about this.”

McCain isn’t just telling people about what he would do, he is DOING IT.

This legislation will be passed and signed into law way before the election. Talking about what you would do after you are elected is meaningless, because the time for action will have passed.

During the statement of Obama’s that I heard, he said that this is a time to put partisan politics aside and sold the economic problem at hand. Having a debate in the middle of it is about as partisan as it gets.

I disagree.

The American people don't want to hear more BS. Talk is cheap. Suspending your campaign for President to return to your duties as a sitting US Senator is leadership.

Once again Barack "call me" Obama has failed that test.

The debate was on foreign policy not the economy which is McCain’s strong point.

-- The American people want to hear with the next President plans to do about this. --

McCain can express that from the well of the Senate, and could even debate Obama directly in that venue, on that subject, assuming it's the subject of pending or proposed legislation and Obama takes a position.

Under the Constitution, Congress has the responsibility to coin money and regulate the value thereof. The president's job is to faithfully execute the laws.

God help you indeed.

It’s a trillion dollar deal here. Your great, great grandkids will be on the hook for making sure illegal aliens and welfare recipients could afford to buy an overpriced home.

McCain SHOULD go back to DC, since this issue could bring the whole house down in a NY minute. Obama should be there too.

The debate is about foreign affairs, not the economy.

Hopefully God will help you with your affliction.

I agree with Obama here ... who drugged you?

One, the first debate was to be about foreign policy.

Two, you don't think the press will be in DC covering this story, and asking McCain questions and getting responses?

No, I guess McCain will go hide somewhere. /sarc

Meanwhile Barry's prepping to debate his teleprompter.

How can he talk about what he is going to do, if he doesn’t know what congress is doing? This isn’t going to wait until Jan. 20th, 2009.
