Isn't it great to have one of the "greatest political minds and talents of our time" working on behalf of John McCain? He is working for him, right?
Here's Bubba on "The View" yesterday, leaving the gals in a state of slightly confused swoon as he finds no end of ways in which to praise John McCain while Barack Obama becomes little more than a parenthetical. Elsewhere, Clinton commented on Palin's "hotness:"
"I come from Arkansas, I get why she's hot out there," Clinton said. "Why she's doing well." ...
"People look at her, and they say, 'All those kids. Something that happens in everybody's family. I'm glad she loves her daughter and she's not ashamed of her. Glad that girl's going around with her boyfriend. Glad they're going to get married.'"

Yep. If Obama loses, which I think he will, then the Dem's lesson learned will be "DON'T NOMINATE A N00B FOR PRESIDENT!"
You’re right,a Democrat can’t win the presidency running as a liberal. Clinton understood that when he ran for president. Clintons is a horse (blank), but I agree he’s got political knowledge and instincts about that.
2012 is a long way off. if obama wins, the dems are doomed in 2010!
Actually, I’d say that BO has an excellent team overall who does sometimes make mistakes: response to Rev. Wright, the Germany trip, the McCain computer ad, the attack against Gianna. And a few more. But overall, they’ve done quite well. Otherwise, BO would be toast by now.
I almost expect many more episodes of this prior to election day. Bill & Hillary doesn’t want Obama to win. Hillary wants to run again in 2012. So look for more dirty tricks and nice public faces.
He is showing the media and Obama what it means to doublecross him. Have no doubt, that is exactly how he views giving Obama the nomination. Obama may be the nominee but Bill can still get the media exposure and call the shots.
“I did get the impression she would have been a harder opponent for McCain to beat if she had won the nomination.”
In a world without Obama, yes, I think Hillary would have beaten John McCain. But Obama was a poison pill. If Hillary would have won the nomination, black folks would have sat the election out, possibly even voted for McCain, (once they quit rioting).
Well, if Obama goes down in the election, then the Clintons will be back as the titular heads of the Democrat party.
not so fast. There will be lots of screaming and pulling hair if Obama loses. moveon.org isn’t just going to vanish overnight
thanks for the bump Bill!
The old 2 for??? 1 + 0 = 1
I agree wholeheartedly. The problem Obama's team has is Obama. His team is has developed extreme expertise in damage control.
we’d have PUMAs either way. blacks would be telling the world that they are for traditional values, pro-life, not pro gay. I wish they could do this today...they don’t seem to realize that the secular left hates their faith.
Sending Bill out to downplay all the partisan bickering is part of this strategy.
The Clintons know full well that an Obama victory means an end to Hillary’s Presidential aspirations. If Obama does even mediocre in office, she can’t run until 2016. If he’s a disaster, she’d likely lose in 2012.
Say what you want about Bill, but he is not dumb.
His lips are still moving.
Exactly! Bill knows what is best for the Clinton’s future, and it isn’t Odumbo.
but the base (blacks, youth, moveon) will hate her. Our base isn’t crazy about her. and many in her base love Palin.
Like I said before, Palin is the first female politician that normal people actually like.
We have rules here concerning any Mary Katharine Ham thread... ;-)
yeah if obama wins, he’ll be the default in 2012. Obama won by ‘this’ much and the dems are stuck with him
