Gannett owned website. Headline and link only. Will look for another postable source. The article says the fire chief estimates the crowd today at Palin's rally at 70,000.

This article’s posted on FR, and says that the Villages is home to 70,000. Do we have another link that says 70,000 were in attendance?
Just seems odd that the number 70,000 appears in both articles, one talking about residents, the other speaking of attendance numbers.
I had heard 30,000 were in attendance (but I can’t seem to find that source right now.)
That’s 20K, they called that 200K?? LOL, where will it end (shakes head).
Did Sarah have columns, fireworks, free beer?
Oops! Forgot! The columns are again in some Holllywood studio back lot. Who needs them anyway?
70,000 impressive.
By the way, that is great evidence, needs to be spread around. I would love to see some Republicans take blow ups of those pictures on TV and make the MSM cringe.
Someone said there were 20k inside and double the number outside at least.
That adds up to probably 60k. :)
Awesome crowd. Did they go, what’s the scoop?
LOL! My husband told me last night he was going to sign on to start a thread on what to do when you lose you spouse to FR during high news cycles like elections.
When you're retired you'll know how much that beats going for a CAT scan. (;>)
Wow! This from the leftists..Gannett! It was probably more than that!
The fire marshall estimated 70,000. (I read the article).
Yes, I mentioned how fans drove for 2 hours to see her based on what I remembered from your post on the other thread. It looks like the event was a big success!
If you bothered to watch the speech most people at the event were NOT senior citizens — they came from all over Central Florida.
Bill McCollum actually pegged the numbers at over 100,000.
Actually reported that people came all the way down from Miami which is at least 5 to 6 hours without the traffic.
There was also a large hispanic + peurto rican contingency there it seems.
They gave away tickets from tampa, orlando, melbourne, gainesville, all over the place. 16,000 to 18,000 picked up tickets at the Villages on Friday. Below is all the places tickets were passed out, all over central Florida. The FIRE CHIEF estimated 70,000. I don’t know. I was supposed to go, my sis was having a pain day.
