Gannett owned website. Headline and link only. Will look for another postable source. The article says the fire chief estimates the crowd today at Palin's rally at 70,000.

I’ve been away from politics another 3 days except for a bit this morning about the Fannie-Freddie stuff and that bored me.

The probable repeal of Roe V. Wade when McCain/Palin are in the White House has got the moonbats absolutely peeing in their pants, hasn't it?! :-) GOOD.

Miami Herald:
Sarah Palin’s Florida speech draws tens of thousands
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics/campaign-2008/story/696050.html
“But Palin drew thousands more than the estimated 20,000 people that turned out for Bush. A fire rescue official estimated the crowd at 25,000 to 30,000, while the Republican Party of Florida pegged the audience at twice that size”
FoxNews said 60,000.

"Then he asks McCain if he REALLY can see Governor Palin assuming the Presidency." McCain should just say..... "YES! But I sure as hell can't see Barack Obama in the Presidency!"
THAT is what the answer should be every time libtards want to sneer at Governor Palin. Their own #1 on the ticket rules out ANY credible challenge to Palin as the VP candidate.
Hammer it home that the person whose credibility, experience, and competence is seriously in question is BARACK OBAMA.

That's a huge crowd. And a great triumph for Sarah Palin, who looked great and energized, with her incredibly handsome husband and beautiful family.
However, the McCain campaign has been caught inflating crowd sizes - really stupidly too - like stating that there were 5000 inside an arena, when it only holds 2500.
I believe the number is closer to 25K - from an independent fire marshall; not one "made available" by the McCain campaign.
I wish they would stop doing this. She's doing great, no need to exagerrate. They just get caught and ads to the narrative that they are fibbing constantly.
At least exagerrate intelligently.

re: McCain on Andrew Cuomo for SEC
I am gagging over that comment.... either it’s the worst kind of pandering, a candidate saying something he cannot possibly believe in order to seek favor with voters, or else McCain really does believe that Andrew Cuomo would be a good and responsible nomination for SEC Chairman.
Either alternative is nauseating. Every time I think I’m reconciled to voting for McCain he goes and says something like this to make me physically ill. Guess I’ll just have to try to focus on Governor Palin as the future of American politics and not think too much about McCain’s RINO tendencies.

Yeah, I don't think the marketplace could hold 60K. The place was packed ... but I'm not sure about that number. Here's a vendor showing off one of his items to my kids ...
The aftermath ...

When were they “ caught exaggerating crowds ? At which events. I am assuming you were at the event today , thats how you know the crowd totals. I know that they gave out 20 k tickets . The main area was full and there were thousands more outside watching the big screens. We will find out who the fire marshall was who at first said there were 60 k in attendance. Ok Marlowe , fill us in..

You seemed to be sucked in by Dem spin.
I remember the Nevada rally. It held only 2500 INSIDE the enclosure, but there were thousand others OUTSIDE the rally area. The Dim bulbs tried to turn the overall estimate into a “lie”, and you uncritically bought into it.

My point is that it was a triumphant rally and there was no need to exagerrate. And, no I am not buying the MSM spin, it has been documented by many different sources. I just think it's silly.
But ... whatever.
