One way of catching leakers is to tell certain false information only to suspected leakers.
If/when the information gets out it narrows down the list of suspects.
I could see Cheney doing this and coming out the day before the election with a federal indictment of Obama, but Bush has never wanted to play hardball.
Cheers!

Odd way for the Muslims to celebrate Ramadan. Celebrating Ramadan with 2,204 pounds of explosives is pretty much the normal routine for certain factions.

Celebrating Ramadan with 2,204 pounds of explosives is pretty much the normal routine for certain factions. From 2004 through 2006, bombings ramped way up during Ramadan. We were getting mortars and rockets several times a day on the bases and we went to Uniform Level III, meaning we had to wear body armor anytime we went outside.
Last year and this year, it's been {ssshhhhh...} pretty quiet. Here, anyway. Looks like AQ is focused on Pakistan now and Pakistan's going to have to deal with it.
Prayers up for the families of the innocents who lost their lives today and for the injured.

How is that coddling of the tribal areas working for you, Pakistan? Another way of looking at it is Al Qaeda now feels that the new Paki government is starting to work with the U.S. in the tribal areas.
The same thing happened several years back in Saudi when the Saudis began their A.Q. offensive.

My question is, if Obama is getting security briefing, is someone monitoring what he tells other people? They wouldn't be telling him anything that specific and that operational. Unless he asked that is. Be good to know.
I wouldn't be telling him squat, not even what he could see on CNN.

Looks like AQ is focused on Pakistan now Well, Pakistan does have nukes. Quite a few of them in fact. Also missiles to mount them on that can reach anywhere in India, which means they can also reach most of the middle east, including where you are.

I hope its a condemnation of the government for US incursions and not a taking advantage of their weakness which means Aq is feeling strong.

Its just a guess but I think Hagmann has a reputation of being unreliable, possibly hyping the threat, with a possible financial motive. That’s why I take what he writes with a grain of salt, but it is still definitely worth taking note of.
