Former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker has been left critically injured after a Learjet crashed while departing from a South Carolina airport.
4 people were killed, while two people - including Barker and DJ AM, a famed Hollywood DJ - were injured.
Barker was transported to a burn center in Augusta, Georgia, where he was listed in critical condition.
Barker had performed Friday night at an event alongside Perry Farrell, the former Jane's Addiction singer, as well as Gavin DeGraw and DJ AM. It was not immediately clear whether any of those performers, aside DJ AM were traveling with Barker.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday from Columbia when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks. She said the plane went off the runway and crashed on a nearby road.
Bergen said the Lear 60 was headed to Van Nuys, California. She was unable to confirm the names of who was on board the plane.

Sorry to hear this. One of those bands I learned about from my boys when they were in high school. Power Pop Punk. Didn’t take themselves too seriously, (like Offspring has), could be profane, but still it was fun and it wasn’t RAP.
I’ve heard of (but not heard) Blink 182. Best wishes for the gentleman’s recovery.
I always thought their music was crap, but I’m still hoping that he recovers.

A Learjet carrying six people crashed late Friday night at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport, killing four and injuring two, including performers Travis Barker and his performing partner DJ-AM.
The privately owned aircraft never got off the runway, crashing at the end near S.C. 302 around 11:55 p.m., airport spokesperson Lynne Douglas. The airport is currently closed to all arrivals and departures.
Barker and DJ-AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, were taken to the burn center in Augusta, hospital spokeswoman Beth Frits said. Both were departing after performing at the T-Mobile Boulevard event in Five Points earlier in the day.

On top of that Travis is on extremely hard working guy. He’s not just satisfied with being a musician. He runs companies that actually make money. I wasn’t at all surprised when he got divorced from the model since she couldn’t handle less than 16 hours sleep a day and he views sleep as something that takes time away from work and family.
People judge him based on his appearance. Very unfair in this case.
No idea who he is, but if he’s in critical condition in a burn unit he’s hurting bad. Prayers out.
DJ AM was engaged to Nicole Ritchie for a long time a couple of years ago.
