DISCUSSION THREAD . . .
I loved the music at the end, too.
Harvey Pitt, former SEC chair on CNN now....he says need for great transparency, but shouldn’t be pointing fingers of blame. LOL
That’s just horse manure. Obama just doesn’t have a plan.
McCain can drive through a huge hole if Obama keeps his piehole shut.
Best,
Chris
“HE NEEDS TO NAME NAMES!
Did he not say he would name names?
Name names Mac!! Come on!”
I guess he doesn’t want to name some of the Congress Critters. What about Dodd - - Chair of the Sen Banking Committee for the last 2 years, recepient of a ‘friends’ loan from Countrywide. What about Barney Frank, chair of the House Banking Committee? What have the DIMS who have been in charge of congress the past 2 years and the banking committees, etc. done besides investigate Pres Bush’s admin and take vacations??? McCain named all of the alphabet regulatory agencies, how about naming the Dim do-nothing congress, aren’t they supposed to have regulatory responsibilities, too???
He should have been enforcing the law. Naked short selling is already against the law.
Yes! Everyone made fun of Hillary saying she always had to go first in debates but she was absolutely correct. He lifts everyone’s words.
The Democrat National Committee's print/audio/video division will be hard at work. Read, listen, watch closely.
iT IS WAY above his pay grade to respond. Obama is exposed!
Yes but what is he going to do about it?
The new version of the RTC will be law by the time of the inauguration and thus we will be paying whether we should or shouldn't.
There's money to be made in subprime mortgages but there's a price to be paid for the risk associated with them. Just like Korean grocers charge more for items in bad neighborhoods, banks should be allowed to charge more for lending in those areas. If a charitable organization wants to pay the extra points to keep the loans affordable, then so be it. Putting the government in that position results in what we see today.
Hank Greenburg, the former Chairman and CEO of AIG who was forced out by a corrupt and greedy DA, Elliot Spitzer, said it best recently. The government can't regulate away incompetence.
“People would not believe him if he only blamed Democrats.”
Exactly. especially the middle ground voters.
Dow up over 400.
Sustainable?
It’s now time for McCain surrogates to get out there and spread the word. They need to repeat the talking points in McCain’s speech over and over again so that people will know who is actually trying to solve the crisis. McCain can’t do this alone with just one speech.
I LOVE IT!!
Obama going to speak at 11 from Florida with a speech on the economy.
DOW up 400 in 10 minutes. This has got to be some sort of a record.
I don’t know. I’m retunrning to my thinking that the only way we’re going to get another Ronald Reagan is if we have another Jimmy Carter.
I can tell you that if McCain had chosen someone other than Palin, I would be voting third party for sure. He at least got me maybe.
McCain was great
On CNN...they think McCain is just “finger pointing”, but that McCain did explain how we got into this situation clearly.
Agree!
Just did a search on FR and found this - hopefully, Rush, Sean, Mark, et al will start blaming the Dim Congress, if McCain doesn’t think he can:
Schumer, Dodd and Frank Asleep At The Wheel or Stuck On Stupid?

This Blog is specifically intended for liberal Democrats Charles Schumer, of New York, Chris Dodd of Connecticut and Barney Frank of Massachusetts. I want to know from you three and others like you who share your ideas of what government should be, where in the “Sam Hill” were you gentlemen as the current financial house of cards was starting to show signs of folding?
