The Tennessean reports what blogs have been buzzing about all day:
The son of state Rep. Mike Kernell has been contacted by authorities in connection with a probe into the hacking of the personal e-mail of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Kernell confirmed on Thursday.
Kernell, a Memphis Democrat, said his 20-year-old son David had been contacted by authorities investigating the hacking of Palins personal email account.

MM’s blog has been way ahead of everyone reporting on this, thanks to her hacker-savvy source. We cannot the let MSM ignore this.

Mike Kernell: Member of Tennessee for Obama?
by Eric Dondero
A Democrat Activist Blog out of Tennessee called LeftwingCracker.blogspot.com may have a connection to the growing scandal over the Hacking of Sarah Palins private email account. The Blog lists State Representative Mike Kernell on the side Blog Roll. LeftwingCracker, run by 49-year old Steve Steffens (photo below) of Memphis, is a strong supporter of Barack Obama for President. Steffens lists in his Profile one of his main interests as leftwing politics.

This hacker story reminds me of this:
Rep. Jim McDermott had no right to disclose the contents of an illegally taped telephone call involving House Republican leaders a decade ago, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday.

this what the democrat talking point is on this topic although there is no proof it is true:
The break-in of Palin’s private account is especially significant because Palin sometimes uses non-government e-mail to conduct state business. Previously disclosed e-mails indicate her administration embraced Yahoo accounts as an alternative to government e-mail, which could possibly be released to the public under Alaska's Open Records Act.

Is this a joke? It’s like blaming a bank for having a bypassable alarm system after you’ve broken in.
This is watergate-style politics from the democrats.
